If your ebay account gets suspended..
 

In what cases (maybe the most serious?) does ebay/paypal put a hold on your money? This is the biggest issue of fear that i have for creating an ebay stealth account. If i sell an item , the buyer gets it , and i'm out of my $$. Will someone put my fears to rest , or tell me they are legitimate?

Keep in mind , i don't plan on selling outright VERO items , actually , I plan on staying away from VERO as much as possible!

I want to sell clothing , make-up for women , etc.

Do my fears have any merit?

Just withdraw from Paypal every couple of weeks, always leaving some money in. The worse they can do is take two weeks of profits from you. It is a risk but in the long run you have to pay to play.

Of course your fears have merit.

You are dealing with two companies that make decisions that astound sellers.

There is no specific description for what will cause monies to be held.

If at any time a transaction flags the system, suspension/limitation happens.

That's the business.

Your items are risky too.

Clothing, make-up...those are risky on a new account.

Agree with GreenBean - usually initially hold is 21 days...you shouldnt be selling your moneymaker items IF YOU ARE WORRIED LIKE THIS so quickly...build your account - spread sales among several accounts

A good tip is to only leave in your paypal account the amount of fees you owe plus enough for 2/3 refunds.

Withdraw your money frequently never let it.build up. You shouldnt encounter too many problems and your limiting your loss if your paypal/ebay goes tits up.

Your fears has solid foundation as this often happens. Ebay and paypal are one company and together they make the most irrational decisions any Organisation of that size will ever make. I draw my money out of paypal every 3days but always leave little change in. So if your ever gets held it wont be much to hurt your cash flow.
