Seriously. What do you guys sell?

Im really curious to what the people on this board sells. Nothing detailed. Just want to know why you need 100's of stealth accounts. I know spreading out the risk is the main factor but anything more than 20 seems like overkill.

If you got suspended, doesn't that mean you will get suspended again selling the same product? Is it like moving from one account to another expecting the account the get suspended one day?

Ask a daft question get daft answers.

Re: Seriously. What do you guys sell?

The op wasn't asking for what exact items we sell or tips. To me it seems he is more curious why some people need hundreds of stealths, and implicitely implied is it to do with selling dodgy items.

It seems everyone only read the title, not the content. Harsh replies imo to a reasonable question.

Re: Seriously. What do you guys sell?

wow people on here can be so ignorant, this was a good question in my opinion. I think everyone gets a lot of accounts because ebay or paypal ask for verification documents at some point, thats when you must go to a new ebay account

JamesNorth101 04-28-2014 03:58 AM

Re: Seriously. What do you guys sell?

The issue was the OP asked what people were selling.

Yes OP then went on to ask other things, but asking what people sell is immediately off to a very bad start and is not going to get sensible answers.

The reason for lots of accounts it the more the better. Simple as that. Why have 20 when you can have 100. More the risk is spread the better and the less attention will be drawn to each individual account.

65% Clothing, 20% Tools, Auto etc. 10% Collectables, 5% for all other random pickups.

Re: Seriously. What do you guys sell?

I wonder how many stealth seller accounts currently exist but I'm more curious to know.

Just what is it that everyone is buying and selling so easily and making a decent living out of it? Dre beats are dead, man!:lol

:bolt:

People spend a LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG time trying to find what is profitable and what is popular with buyers.

It takes hours and hours and hours of research and sourcing to find items.

So no, no one will EVER tell you what they sell & give up all there hard work to someone who will end up being the persons competition.

Which is why the initial question gets laughed at.

What are your ideas OP?

This has been asked a million times on the forum and of course no one in their right minds is going to give out exactly what they sell.

To create competition for themselves would be foolish.

There is no discussion because no one will be posting items they sell.

If they did it would be in a general area and not posting exact items.

Hundreds of accounts used to seem crazy to me until I lost my biggest account last fall. It would have taken several hundred new accounts to be able to sell the volume of items I would sell daily on that lost account.

Currently my most profitable seller is moving baby diapers.

A newbie calling us ignorant.....Check yourself before you start talking. Also, I didn't see you answer the OP question.....Since your not ignorant why don't you tell the OP what you sell. Oh that's right, IT'S NONE OF ANYONE'S BUSINESS!!!!!!!!

People laughed at me 4 years ago when I said I wanted to have 100 accounts. Got close to 500 and sold a few aged. Now getting close back up to 500.

The more the merrier.

To the OP, follow your niche or area of knowledge first and then research until your eyes bleed. Most of us have done so.

LOL

When I was new here I had a vet tell me "read until your eyes bleed as I am not going to spoon feed you information."

Re: Seriously. What do you guys sell?

Back in 2007, I dropped my Motorala Razr sell phone and cracked the screen. After finding out that Motorola wanted $199 to fix it, I did some research and found a great guide for how to do it myself with parts that could be found for $30 on eBay. I then started to buy broken phones on eBay, buy the parts to repair them on eBay, fix them myself and then resell the phones. This led me to wonder if I could increase my profit margin by buying the parts in bulk. I sourced some suppliers in China and found cell phone parts that sold for $15 to $20 on eBay could be found for $2 to $3 dollars.

This led me to begin importing cell phone parts from China to resell on eBay. I don't mean cases and skin's, more like the aluminum housing, flex cables, LCD screens etc. I was making thousands of dollars a month as a high school student. Life was great! Eventually, more sellers flooded the market and drive profit down to zero. I closed my doors, started college and began pursuing other business ventures.

Fast forward to a few months ago. I was having a problem in my life that was a slight annoyance to my now wife, so I decided to look on eBay to see if they're were any solutions to my problem. I found several items that were absolutely selling like hot cakes, with only a few sellers ordering them. I contacted some suppliers and found they had the same profit margin that cell phone parts had back in the day. I stayed selling them myself now and am making a KILLING again!

As people in this thread have said, nobody is going to tell you exactly what they sell. However, here are some tips for getting started:

1.) Carry around a pad of paper and pen. Throughout your day jot down ideas of things to sell that you use or see others using. Focus on items that are small, inexpensive and things that aren't normally sold at Walmart or other big box retailers. You don't want to compete directly against a company that operates on 3 percent profit margin, trust me!

2.) Research on eBay to see how much the products you brain stormed are selling for. Research suppliers to see how much you could buy similar items for in bulk. Explore similar niches, check out other items that your potential competition is selling... basically just go crazy researching items to sell!

3.) Learn ebay policies inside and out. Don't sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items, they will only lead to problems. Find a niche to dominate and create a brand for yourself to help you stand out from competition.

Good luck!

if the original thread started is serious, do some serious reading on here, and you wont have to read til your eyes bleed lol. and you will get a general idea. but think about it why would anyone tell you exactly what they sell? kinda defeats the purpose of trying to keep accounts alive

Before I read your post Sandy, I was thinking to myself that I actually enjoy making stealth accounts, and it is almost like an addiction sometimes. So, I wonder, is there a name for this psychological disease that I may have?

It might be called "resistance"
(from the dictionary: underground organization engaged in a struggle for national liberation in a country under military or totalitarian occupation)

Which I am proudly part of :thumb:

RX is "Gambling on eBay without limits." or "eCommerce war with eBay."

While doing this, we fall and get back on our knees and keep going. Since the victims are minimal, we never feel defeated.

I like that too. That sounds like Perseverance
- steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement

Hey buddy, I'm still new here too but I can tell you you're not really gonna get positive reception asking people on here what they sell lol. I've asked a dumb question or two in my day, don't feel too bad.

If you have safe, steady items to sell, 20 accounts might be enough, but even then it's always better to have more and keep accounts in rotation.

Also if you're selling risky items, then the reason for 100+ accounts is obvious. If one gets suspended it's not that big of a deal, and if you calculate the risk properly, and build enough accounts to compensate for this risk, you can profit greatly, even from the riskier items.

A lot of people get frustrated because they see the same questions being asked over and over, meanwhile the information on these boards is already there to answer these questions and much, much more. These boards really are a gold mine thanks to the people here who are giving you "harsh" answers. Don't take it personally.
