What would you do with this crazy buyer?

Lady buys an item. Week goes by she writes me and tells me she does not like it and wants to return it.

I told her returns are for items not as described and you have had it for a week now.

She said it does not look right in her house.

I said no returns unless I missed something. What did I miss?

Looking at her history I noticed she had the same exact item I sold her up for sale. It did not sell because she doubled her price. Like I would not know what to sell it for.

Now she files a paypal dispute saying it is not as described.

Normally I would just wipe it out, leave her keep it and refund but this one ticks me off because she used me to see if she could re sell it and now it did not sell she wants her money back.

What would you do with the dispute?

Thanks

Tell ebay exactly that, she will look like an idiot.

I think it's all about the principle Sandy. EB should have a record of her trying to sell it and that means PP should be able to see it too (hopefully). I'm with you, and I would fight it myself. I would feel like someone was pimping me out in your situation. I think you got enough evidence to burn this person. I think I would even buy something off her and drop some neg fb.

Reply with this is a vexacious claim. Buyer has same item listed on listing xxxx. Items are exactly the same. I do not cater for buyer remorse.

Re: What would you do with this crazy buyer?

clearly a reseller or flipper. heck alot of buyers nowadays are.

sadly Sandy only thing I would do is eat the return or what I USUALLY do is give them some money back. they cry and whine but when I offer some money back they suddenly give me great feedback and are so happY !! YAY yeah right, but what can you do.

buyers bully because they know they can with most good sellers. I usually call it a learning lesson and throw them on my block list.

it sucks but people will do whatever they can to make money,

guy buys it from me for 50 crys and whines and I give him back 20 so now he is down to 30 invested then he asks 100 for it. sad but see it to often nowadays.

good luck I try to avoid the dispute at all costs but at this point I would give her a full return AFTER you get your item back and move on

Paypal does NOT allow buyer remorse and has policy in place. A phone call into paypal usually fixes the problem.

I actually would also go on principal on this one especially since the buyer has lied about it from the start.

I would explain the whole story to eBay, include time frames and make it known that the buyer is trying to pull a fast one.

I hope you kept the item number of the buyers listing so that you have all areas covered.
The least work eBay has to do the better.
If you don't, try looking for it in your browser history.

Either way this turns out, I have no doubt the rating you get won't be a positive one

I agree with Bunneh about the neg fb, but they are a seller also. I bet they thread lightly.

Buyer has gone to PAYPAL.

It is now item not described.

Different tactics come to play here....

Re: What would you do with this crazy buyer?

I would just copy and paste the messages from her saying it is fine, but just doesn't look right in her house. I also would say she tried selling the exact same item for 2x the value after she received it and put the item # in the claim. Also point out that she is abusing the ebay policy by buying an item and trying to return it, simply because "she does not like it."

Their policy is clear, you get what you pay for. Since you can prove she got exactly what she paid for, and when asked if there was anything wrong she only replied with "I don't like it", I would just let ebay sort it out. Besides, you can give her as much hassle as you want; she can't leave a negative now since the case was opened ;)

Waiting on the response from the answer I gave them.

Just noticed buyer just got two negatives from someone for not shipping the item that was paid for 3 weeks ago.

I can see 20 or 30 negatives coming soon. :cheer:

I normally move on, refund and have given advice to other to do this but once I looked into this deeper it is something I just cannot let go of.

Seems she has a habit of trying to flip and when it does not sell she files to get her money back with the hopes possibly to keep the item.

I flip items almost every day on ebay, if I buy it and get the item and it does not sell right away, that is my fault. Guess honesty is not this persons first thought.

I feel the same way, I buy to flip and if it doesnt move its on me not on the person selling the item to begin with.

with the persons background heading south, yes it would be worth battling a dispute since you will probably win.

I have showed ebay the negs and they sided for me in similar situations in the past. best a luck and sucks when you run into a member like that.

I block em and KEEPONGOING!
