Tips to Selling Vero Items

Ok, so I have a few Vero items around the house that I want to list. But I do not want to risk having my hard earned 100% feedback account destroyed for doing so. If I were you list 1 vero item along with my other non-Vero items that I sell, will ebay still flag me?

ParkAvenueChic 09-29-2008 11:34 AM

I would do just one at a time, maybe one every week or something. Don't list them all together.

aking 09-29-2008 11:39 AM

yea, thats what i was going to do. Just one a week.

When SWIM first started selling on ebay, SWIM had an item that they didnt even know would be made counterfeit. So SWIM assumed it was a solid item. SWIM listed 5-10 of them at once. Within an hour SWIM had 1 watcher on ALL of their items listed. SWIM thought it was strange but they brushed it off.

12 hours later SWIM got all their auction pages taken off with a letter from the head of a company saying they were vero items. So they did some research and saw how other people were selling them. They had a trick that SWIM noticed. SWIM did one at a time after that and everything went smoothly.

Basically you got a few choices you can list rarely and play it safe. You you can spell it incorrectly. you can removed words from the title or You can rearrange the words in the title.

I always look and see sellers in China of all places with 10-15 auctions of the same vero item listed at the same time. FTW??

gurusgrafx 10-05-2008 09:50 PM

all my items are vero items. or so it seems. On average I'll list 300 different auctions. Some accounts got hit in 2 weeks time. Some lasted 2 years. Luck of the draw with vero.

aking 10-05-2008 10:35 PM

Yea, you just need to make sure you have accounts set up and ready if you get veroed. I try to mix my non vero items with my vero items, that seems to work. I list very few vero items on one account at one time, but when you have 10+ accounts all selling at the same time, you can move inventory pretty fast with nice profits. I also try to let my accounts "cool down" after a lot of transactions.

vero

what kind of vero items are we talking about here? like ⊗⊗⊗⊗ software, ⊗⊗⊗⊗ purse?

Ebay_Victim 10-13-2008 12:55 AM

How can china list 10+ auctions? i got my auction pulled and high ends auctions limited to after 30 days even when i listed low, and i only listed under 5 items.

i see them selling all kinds of ⊗⊗⊗⊗, even ⊗⊗⊗⊗ makeup yuck

The rules of US based account differ in a BIG way from eBay accounts from other countries.

aking 10-13-2008 09:56 AM

maybe i need to get an ebay account in another country then...

divine422 10-13-2008 10:51 AM

It also depends on how old the account is as well. Older ebay accounts get away with more than new created accounts.

Ebay_Victim 10-16-2008 03:45 PM

The guy from china created new accounts every single day. He lists 10+ Vero auctions. I can only list 2, and im restricted for 30 days. He's been suspended after 5 fbs each time. and he gets to stay active for at least a month. He violate every single rule.
how the hell did he get all these checking accounts, i wonder if he work for a bank?
THATS what i need to know!

But most of all, HOW the hell does he get away w PAYPAL!

he uses same pics every single time. and descriptions. And the format is always the same.

id love to email the guy lol but i he's probably gonna make me pay for it.

I have VERO items listed right now on about 18 accounts. The smallest one has 6 items listed (had 25 yesterday) and the biggest one has 45 listed. Feedbacks are between 25 and 280. I've been selling VERO items on some of them since December 2007 without getting suspended. My secret? Don't ask me, because I won't tell. :)

best thing dont sell vero items
its just alot of headache and you will lose out in the long run

sycore 10-19-2008 09:44 PM

Just a quick warning, sometimes you are not being suspended for a reason. That being the FBI requires minimum $5000 in infringement before they will even consider a case, and the VERO owners may not be lodging complaints until you hit that number. More then likely though if you are just a small time seller the cost and expense of prosecution is not worth it so, if they can track you down you get cease and desist threat letter. Best to change up your VERO items every now and then, take some time off and change up accounts and withdrawal paper trail.

Well it seems like your accounts are older so it's not surprising that you haven't had any problems.

Haven't had any problems either on accounts that are only 6 weeks old.

Can you show a link or something to substantiate this?
