Problem With Buyer
 

Hi Everyone, I am having a problem,

a buyer on ebay purchased an item, then i got an email about 5 minutes later from Paypal saying the buyer Opened an "Unauthorized Payment Claim" so i refunded the buyer as i didnt ship the item out yet. He then asked me why i refunded. I sent him a "cancel transaction request" and he rejected it. he told me he still wants the item but wont resend the payment, i have sent him 2 invoices already. I am not sure how to get the Final Value Fee removed, i dont really want to contact ebay since my account is Stealth. what should i do if the buyer doesn't resend the funds?

I hope i dont have to pay for the final value fee, The Buyer messaged me on the 25th and told me he still wants the item. but hasn't responded back yet. funny thing is not sure why he opened a "Unauthorized Purchase claim".

on the Paypal Transaction page it says "(The sender of this payment is Non-U.S. - Verified)"

and the shipping address is Indiana and its Confirmed

You will not get back your Final Value Fee unless you call eBay...

There is no way around it.

I have been through that road several of times.

well i checked the buyer's feedback and this was on there "BEWARE THIS USER BUYS AND THEN CLAIMS UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTION AFTER SHIPPING"


good thing i didn't ship the item yet. but i still would have been safe because i use tracking on all my packages i mail out.

You need to contact ebay and also report the buyer.

would it be safe to call ebay using a different number than on file with them?
because i am out of minutes, It would be alot easier if i could email them

If you do call from a different number make sure it's from the same area code as stealth account.

What a freakin worm. I hate these kind of buyers. I doubt EB pulls the database on you if you are calling to report inappropriate buyer activity

Make sure to use the eBay report a buyer function now. Be specific and point out what happened and how looking at his feedback he has a history of this. Usually if you mention something about being an honest seller and not wanting to deal with scammers, etc. It goes a long way in getting these shysters booted. But make sure you report them.

yes, i already reported the buyer, blocked him, called ebay and got my Final Value Fee Credited with no problems at all. didnt even ask for any account info

I find for problems straight up as yours calling eBay won't be a problem, I always have all stealth info ready, but this is something that they are looking in to so,be the issue, and not looking at too much of anything else as if you were calling in for limit raise

Always a risk. But I think in this situation u made the right move in calling in , good job in getting your fees back
