New stealth account success
 

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their help. I bought the eBay stealth guide a few weeks ago, read it, studied it, and listed my first item today.

a few hours after listing i got a call from eBay (using a call forwarding service of course). Asked me a few BS questions and that was it.

Is there anything else I should be looking forward to?

Congratulations!! You should be good to go now....just take everything slow and you should be fine.

Sorry but to me is not quite ok and the veterans here could give some guidance.
Was that an expensive item?
I am asking this because to me it is quite odd to receive a call from Ebay just because my item has been sold in a "normal" account.

There must be something that have reised some flag here... or at least, this is the way I see it form an Ebay.it point of view.

Please explain which category did you list the item and what kind of item it was.

I've had the same thing happend to me on a new account, with a cheap item....to me, it's another example of the "randomness of ebay.....I do not see any cause for alarm.

I listed a disney doll I got for dirt cheap. I actually listed two. Just sold it, and shipped it out. Going to list another item tomorrow.

the Ebay stealth guide is awesome. I have 4 stealth accounts and this forum is awesome.

I have one question though, I used some Visa gift cards at $15 each, can I use like $14 and leave the $1 balance on there? I know if I use all $15 it will pretty much kill the card.

i think a tracfone. I ordered some kyocera prepaid phones for like 5 bucks each on walmart.com

Toll free forwarding is another option but I prefer just carrying around a bunch of 5 buck prepaid phones. To each his/her own.

The $1 maintenance is good - I personally leave about $3

disney higher risk stick with generic stuff.

I have never been called before with account creation, not saying its out of the norm, but stick with low risk and not big name or ticket items apple disney beats etc

How long do you guys usually wait before listing something name brand such as an $80 pair of sunglasses ?

Just trying to get a feel for when is the right time. Obviously I would wait more than a month or two so I could receive at least 15-20 Positive seller Feed back 1st.

During the last couple or so, when I tried to list my first item to sell. I am either getting a phone from eBay, which is a better option because they just ask to make that is you. But when you got your listing removed and asked to call eBay within the next 48 hours is a different story. They tried to ID verify using the public record. Since they address is bogus. They can't verify you and ask you send in the verification like your driver license. Is there an alternative to avoid this ID verify or how to get around it when you fax in the document. Thanks
