ebay account limits increased - What is the right approach?

Good Sunday morning everyone!

I was in disbelief when eBay sent me the increase notif last night.

My account was opened about 30 days ago with less than 10 feedbacks. Even though I am happy, I would want to take precautious steps to this because I do not want to ruin this opportunity.

Any advice?

Congrats on the raise :peace:

Nothing High risk of course.

Slowly max out the limits again(Not all in one day/dont sell too fast)

Ship fast and have excellent customer service.

I have 10 stealth accounts that are less than 90 days old....the 2 that are the "youngest", less than 6 weeks old, less than 10 feedbacks both got raises this last week, while the 8 older ones, are still at 10/1K....typical ebay, no rhyme or reason.

Congrats!

I am also new seller on ebay, although I already have more than 200 feedbacks as a buyer.
I started with 10 items, than it turned to 20 after selling few products, than they increase it to 50 items even though I didn't sell much, so here is my humble advices:

1. Don't sell anything that is VERO and branded items, there are pretty high chances it could have you suspended.
2. Sell things that you are capable of managing, absorbing loses, returns, refunds.
3. Be honest with your buyer, don't try to
4. Check if your items you are thinking of buying in order to sell are not CPSC restricted.
5. Don't dropship if you are can't be 100% sure that your source would send your customers the items they order, like the same color, size, quality, and that it would arrive fast.
6. Think as a customer: what are the things that would annoy.
7. Don't take things personally, I sold about 20 pcs of the same item and one customer told me he hasn't receive the package (although I send it by myself to his address using registered mail), and in the same day he opened a resolution case, he left me Neg feedback without leaving me a chance to solve it. but after I contacted him and explained the situation he was willing to change his feedback.

Hope you the best!

Its all random, if they raised your limits then don't be afraid to sell to the max, just do it slowly

never rock the boat. Keep it honest, slow and sell items that aren't high risk. Keep getting good feedback and you will be on your way.

In today's stealth world you must baby all accounts. Don't go crazy and waste all your time and energy by getting the booted. Baby them and make lots of them. Build them up and sooner than later you will have an Army.

Re: ebay account limits increased - What is the right approach?

Thank you all for your advice. I started making stealth accounts in mid March and now have 7 operational accounts. Baby steps, but hopefully I am headed the right direction. Another account of mine just got increased too. However, this account has less limits than the first one even though it has more feedbacks than the other and is older. Very strange.

If my limit is 50, how many should I list? For less then 60 day old accounts, how fast is selling too fast? Thank you

Slow shmow. I sell to the max the first week of opening accounts both on 10/1K and 100/5K accounts. Just make sure you are able to make your account look as real as possible when eBay contacts you.

in my experience slow and steady wins the race. I got few stealth accounts that are over 2 years old and still going strong :D

Question for you guys who are babying the numerous accounts -- has Ebay messaged you to send in documents yet? Such as Paypal asking for ID or a utility bill and such?
Is it ever possible, to sell long-term or so, without having to submit such docs?

Re: ebay account limits increased - What is the right approach?

I only have 35 stealths, but I have never been asked for any docs, from either ebay or paypal....I go kinda slow on starting to sell.

Re: ebay account limits increased - What is the right approach?

Sometimes I get really greedy and I max the account out overnight, selling only high risk vero items such as beats by dre, and if I get really greedy, and I gotta make ends meet, I will even attempt to sell a counterfeit vehicle such as a Heavy EmPala. Jk. Just make sure you slowly increase limits, don't sell high risk stuff yet, and watch your paypal too, because if you start to get big amts, you might get it limited.

Re: ebay account limits increased - What is the right approach?

The thing is most people build accounts and they think they know all the angles because the accts stay good for a long time which is great but accts are like bridges anyone can build a 100 of them but who can build one that can actually hold some weight. That is the same with stealth i could make an acct easy with very few things done right bad address, voip phone, vpn for ip and as long as i list one item for .99 cents after 90 days of surfing there is a good chance it could still be alive and well. If you made the same bad acct and listed a 200 dollar item that acct would be dead in 2 minutes

I haven't been ask for any docs yet but I'm sure it's around the corner so I'm always prepare. But on my most prize account, which just got an increase to $500,000 limit, have an EIN attach to it. So if you want to have an account with high limit, I suggest attach an EIN to it.

It is possible with constant rotation and avoiding huge amounts just entering one account
