Buyer Claims Paid - No Payment Received

The buyer claims he paid over an hour ago after I sent him an invoice. Although, I can not find any record of his payment or a payment mark when logging in through Paypal or eBay.

The correct Paypal email is attached to the eBay listing. Paypal account is activated; there are no funds in it.

Has anyone come across this before?

Sounds like it might be a check?

Last time I had that happen, it was a pending check.
May show up in a few more hours.

Some buyers use guest account to buy but then message you from their registered account. Ask them for their full address and then search in your email to see if you have PayPal invoice.

No, hasn't shown up yet. Inquiring the buyer for additional transaction information. They did state they paid via credit/debit card though.

That should eliminate the possibility of it being an eCheck, if they used a debit/credit card. I had something similar a couple weeks ago. They had 2 accounts and had used the other account that they was not messaging me with.

After they discovered they used a diff account than what they originally thought, they were very apologetic. Funny thing was when they said they had 2 accounts, I felt like it was a fellow stealther.

When I went to do the Super Secret Stealth Hand-Shake, they did not know the proper procedure, so also watch out for ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stealthers. :spy:

Re: Buyer Claims Paid - No Payment Received

Buyer has confirmed he has 2 accounts; couldn't pay me with the first, so he paid me with the second today and it finally went through. I had the payment for like an hour, but account was limited shortly thereafter (incidentally, when I was on my way to the P.O.). Provide Photo ID, Proof of Address, Provide Proof of Delivery. Also received an email saying my information is outdated, which it honestly shouldn't be (unless they immediately dipped into public records or called me while I was in the car, don't seem to have gotten any other messages).

May be doable, but I'd have to take time to doctor up the documentation and I don't like further delays unto the customer. Paypal is f**king around. Should I really even bother with this? Seems like I have a smidgen of hope since they aren't asking for an SSN or invoices. I haven't sent the item yet and just aborted as soon as I got the limitation email, deciding if I should send a refund or continue. IMO it's just a gamble and I should just refund and start over; I never like dealing with limitations.
