Buying an eBay account from a friend

I am looking to purchase an ebay account from my friend, He has an account under 150feedback no limits.

He offer to trade it to me for a mac mini i7 (good deal?)

How would i be able to obtain full ownership?
-can i change name/address question/answer?
-Do i need his PayPal acct thats linked to the ebay account (SSN is applied to it as well)
-What other info can i change?

If i sell over 20k on the account will the IRS look into my friend? since he has his SSN assigned to paypal.

I do plan on getting a DBA/LLC/reseller permit when I am settled


History:
my first ebay acct is perm ban under my name/adress.
I do have my own stealth account with po/box (10/1k limit)

It is not a such a good deal if you are going to change everything including the sneakers you are wearing.

It would be better to ask your friend to setup into his PC CCProxy and to share with you his Chrome/Firefox user profiles (with cleared all other sites except PP and eB). You'll push them into your own Portable Chrome/Firefox (in order to cookies and flash cookies to be separate from your standard browser version) and use that profile only for eB/PP.

So in the end: You'll use his IP using CCProxy and his browser & flash cookies using your own Windows User Account (even not need to be changed) through Portable FF/CH. Then you might change the passwords of both of the accounts but it's not necessary if you trust him. Get his e-mail inbox as well.

So in the end you'll completely use his IP, accounts and cookies in order to sale without limits (or till be limited for VeRO or sth).

Also if he don't wants his PC to be 24/7 online, then no problem - buy him a separate crap PC for $200-$300 that would be whole day online and on that PC to be started the CCProxy Server.

Using my way you won't change everything except maybe the password and only if you don't trust him.

Bad idea....and I will bet a dollar to a donut it has limits....but that's beside the point...bad idea...and yes, if you go over 20k in sales he will be reported to the IRS.

The account under 150 feedback really has no limits, I've checked in selling manager and it doesn't show any limitation to how much or how many i can sell.

When i was selling on my friend's account i was selling well over 6k within 3 months and i guess it trigger ebay to raise the limits automatically to no limits. It was so random. I guess it depends on what you are selling.

After reading your guys comments, I have thought about it and because i like to be in the safe side, i won't be purchasing my friend's account and stick to my stealth and possibly make more stealth accounts along the way.

It's extremely tempting to want to buy/use an account with no limits, a lot of feedback but in the long run it's dangerous and then you run into issues such as paying Taxes, etc.

People in the sellers area are selling their accounts providing private proxies or VPNs. The bad thing there is that they do NOT give you any browsing cookies, flash cookies, browsing history. Here in this situation using his friend he'll get not only his IP, but all previously needed stuff.

If that is a a bad advice, then selling 2nd hand accs (without browser cookies, flash cookies, browser history) there is extremely bad.
