Ebay public database questions
Hi guys, I just want to share my story in hopes I can help someone out. I am on my second stealth account, it's approx 3 months old. (The first one is at 175/$8750 & going on 7 months) I'll give you some background first. For this 2nd account I used my maiden name & my real DOB. I opened a LLC in my old name for this account. I opened both a PP & EB biz account. After scrolling through this site for hours, I swear this site consumes me sometimes, but the plethora of knowledge here is insane. My banned account (which was 9 yrs old & had 21,000+ FB) is in my married name & got lambasted in Feb due to falling below seller standards, but it remains open because every time I try to close it, they give me some BS answer as to why I can't. Using my maiden name I knew they would be able to find me in the public database. I used a new phone #, IP, Bank account, address etc. I called EB to get limits increased. I know some people say this is a no-no, but I figured I'd roll the dice, so I took the chance. I knew using my maiden name they would be able to find me. The address I used is a mailbox forwarding company. When the rep got on the phone, he said he had to verify some info in the public database & placed me on hold. When he came back, he said I can't find you at that address. I really tried to act clueless, like a newbie, and I was really nice. Then I told him, that's my biz address, not my home address. I then gave him an address that I lived at 8 years ago. He looked it up & asked me 3 multiple choice questions.
1) Which of these cities have you ever lived?
A, B, C or D?
My answer none of the above.
2)Which of these address have you ever been affiliated with?
A, B., C or D?
Now, on this question, he did mention our vacation home address, which I know I used at one time. So I answered, none of the above. I figured it may link me.
3) Which of these companies have you ever been affiliated with?
A, B, C or D?
Again, on this question, he mentioned my old companies name for my banned account. So, again I answered, none of the above.
The rep then proceeded to tell me I passed with flying colors & my limits would be increased within 15-20 minutes & were.
My maiden name is a pretty common name & when I did some research myself, I seen there are about 300 of us living in my state & about 10 that lived in my county. So I'm hoping I'm in the clear of all the verifications now & can just continue to grow w/o the fear of an EB call. |
