New system raises a flag on buyers account to protect sellers sending untracked mail

eBay is finally making it harder for scammers, i sell high volume low value and send most my orders untracked, I've always had a big problem with buyers claiming they have not received there item as they know it can't be proved as they've not signed for it. but I've just got used to it over the years and each time give a refund and add them to the blocked list.

Within the past 3 month I've not had one case opened for item not received for an untracked order which i though was strange, so I check back a bit of history from buyers who have opened cases in the past and 1 out of 4 I checked it said there no longer registered on eBay which makes me think they've been banned,

Then the other week I was reading about the new easy returns that is going to be put into place on eBay later this year that all business users accept, it says that there is an option that you can select so that when a buyer click for a return it says they can keep the item and gives them a refund, but then says that there is some sort of system put in place to protect sellers that monitors bad buyer behaviour so if they try and abuse it they will be banned.

I'm sure that system is already in place when buyers are opening too many cases for items not received it raises a flag and there buyer account is reviewed then banned. as I no longer get any cases opened compared to 5-10 a month.

Was this always the case? if so I think ebay have stepped up and made it a lot tougher.

I'm now getting a few buyers messaging me that they've not received there item hoping that I'll send them a replacement, i think this is there plan B, but guess what i tell them to go through eBay and open a case for item not received and I hear nothing back from them. some are even going as far as opening a case for item not a described and putting in the comments they've not received order, then i just click on return for refund and they close the case or leave it.

so finally ebay has become more strict for buyers abusing us sellers which means less losses and less time spent sorting these problems out. take note sellers and always make the buyer open a case for a refund or replacement, even though you might get a defect for it, it's well worth it to kill off these scammers once and for all.

I am honestly sick of scammers. Unfortunately some scammers are also sellers.

At least, I am navigating well with all the spurs and valleys on eBay.
