How long can an account sit dormant without risking an MC999?
 

I've created several stealth accounts that I want to rotate. Maybe one week per account. So if I have 4 accounts, then I'll only sell on an individual account one week a month. However I've heard people can get a MC999 notification if they let an account sit dormant for too long and then start suddenly selling again.

So does anyone know how long it's safe to let an account sit without risking a MC999 when I start selling again? Is once a month ok or should I sell on the account more frequently?

There's no definitive time period, there are too many variables to take into consideration. For example:
1. How long the account has been selling
2. How many Feedbacks are on the account
3. Has the account had issues in the past
etc.

Once a month would be considered an active account.

Not everyone selling on eBay is a full time seller, most members are buyers and occasionally sell items like there outdated phone to get money for the new one

You most likely will get that on accounts that are created and shelved for long periods of time without a single log in

Last week I listed on a few accounts that I didnt even log into for almost 3 years. No problems at all.

I never had this issue but a few members have brought this up in the last several months
