Will ebay link the account when i sell the same exact items but differnt info?

Hello,
i am in the process of starting a new account,
my brother is doing the account and using his own name address bank account info credit card social and other finical documents. I also am deleting all cookies on firefox.

My question is : I use blackthorn to list items, and the items i list you gotta be pretty specific to find them. I current have about 700 items in my blackthorn database, they use same picture font and other characteristics

will ebay link this account to an old account since all the listings are the same? But my information and everything else is different? Can a different person sell the same items as someone else before them in the same way?

I plan on using a similar store name, ebay user name and store design. I know this is similar to an old account but can my brother do this without ebay linking them to me since his account is good?

Also i have comcast broadband i know there is a way if the power is disconnected for 24 hours the ip address will be changed is tha good enough?

All of your questions have been answered in the forum or better yet, its all been compacted into the ebay stealth book

WAREHOUSE 10-07-2008 08:23 PM

I read the book, but my question was if it was a completely different person, would they still link accounts? I mean people sell similar items with similar pictures on ebay.

GreenBean 10-07-2008 08:37 PM

TBH, with your proposed way, there is a chance of being linked. Brother's surname the same as yours? Item photos the same? A 'new' store with a similar name? Think that flags could rise with those points alone.
When I created new accounts, I made a completely new ID: even made the address miles from old suspended account.
Clearing cookies from Firefox is not all you can do to create new accounts: recommend you do get the ebayStealth book.

I can tell by your 2 posts that I have quoted above that you have NOT read the eBay Stealth Guide.
Because you have just violated steps that were on PAGE 1.

Now either go back and READ the book from cover to cover 2 times or more.
OR
Buy the book and READ the book from cover to cover 2 times or more.

WAREHOUSE 10-07-2008 08:49 PM

I hope it is okay to post info from the book here, but I read it again and page one had to do with creating a new name and using Firefox to clear cookies.....

Were the pictures and description to raise a red flag, will providing more information be sufficient enough as long as it is indeed a different person?

GreenBean 10-07-2008 08:53 PM

WTH? Warehouse, here are my thoughts. Going to be blunt. You are not going to be able to create a new account with your current ideas. Listen to HWGA, listen to me.
READ ebaySTEALTH. read the book, read the forum ffs and then you will understand better just how to do this. This may take
you several readings but do so.

WAREHOUSE 10-07-2008 09:02 PM

Got it, Im going through the forums and going to read the book again

Quasi_Mojo 10-07-2008 09:34 PM

WAREHOUSE, did you buy the ebook from here, or somewhere else?
Is there a date on the ebook you have?
I'm just wondering if you have the most up-to-date version.

WAREHOUSE 10-07-2008 10:05 PM

There is an updated version available?

Here We Go Again 10-07-2008 10:43 PM

^^^^^
Yes there is a Version 2.0 that was released just a few months ago.
If you just bought the book from the official web site then you have the official 2.0 version.
If you bought it elsewhere on the web you have been ripped off.
eBay Stealth - Suspended eBay and Paypal Account Guide
The above link is the link to the official web site of the famous Stealth Guide.

I am SO tired of these newbies walking in here, NOT reading anything, ASKING questions that have
been answered a thousand times and then NOT having a clue about the world that is around them.

WE NEED A NEWBIE SECTION

Did you see the thread where the guy did not even know what a sticky was?
I had to POST a picture for him. Come on....
This is over the top.
I am refusing to help anyone that will not help themselves.

Stupidity should be painful.

helpme1 10-08-2008 05:35 PM

It is good to change everything completly and use nothing the same if possible. There are so many names you can use for your ebay store so that you don't use a similar store name and get caught by ebay. The stealth ebook is great to view for this. Whatever you do try to change your store name completly and even with your pictures change the name of the picture (if it was fishfry change to fisher1). It may take time to do this but think about how much time, money and energy it will take to sign up for another name.

Brendaleigh 10-09-2008 05:50 PM

Not a Newbie

OK. I have read the eBook several times and I have parts of it committed to memory. I have spent countless hours going through this Forum reading thread after thread. Most of my questions have been answered but I must admit this - What is a Sticky??? I see that on several postings but I don't know what it is. I know that I am risking being made fun of but I have to ask anyway.

Quasi_Mojo 10-09-2008 06:06 PM

It's a thread that has been "pinned" to the top section of the forum so it's more easily seen.

Google: forum sticky

And you are a newbie for not finding the answer yourself! ;)

This forum, Suspension & Paypal Limited Forums, is split into categories.
Those categories, example General Marketplace Talk are split into topics.
Lets look at the very first Topic in the very first Catagorie: eBay Discussion!
Once you click on this topic, eBay Discussion!, you will see the list of threads for that topic.
At the TOP of this list you will see 4 threads.
You will see that they are labeled as "Sticky"
No matter how OLD these threads get they will ALWAYS be at the TOP of the topic list.
They will NOT drop down the list because they are STUCK at the top.
These usually imply that they are important and should be read.

"Sticky" threads are valuable to keep thoughts in one place and avoid repeat threads.
But this only works when they get read.
