Help. Scammer bought my item and wants me to ship it out.
 

As soon as he bought it he opened a no receipt claim with paypal and waited for me to ship it. If I ship it and get scammed will ebay reimburse me the funds. Say he says nothing was in the box?. How does this work. thanks. It's $1300.

Will I be covered if he says nothing was in the box. ect.

Are you saying he made the buy AND then filed INR immediatetly.? That's wrong. No item gets delivered stat.

claim is with paypal. ebay may not touch it.

What else have you done apart from post here? Any contact with buyer?

i d suggest to contact ebay to at least avoid the buyer to leave you any negative feedback and not ship out the item, this is very abnormal and likely a scammer.

You ship it, it's gone forever. DO NOT SHIP.

Sort it out with PP, but do nothing else.

Very Strange situation, I don't get it , why would a scammer instantly after purchasing file a case.

Usually they would wait to see that postage was paid and tracking updated

Could be candidate for "Worlds Dumbest Criminals"

This. Issue a refund immediately, and contact Paypal if you think he's scamming you.

if you ship it, INSURE with ADULT SIGNATURE required. MAKE sure paypal address is CONFIRMED

I wouldn't even bother shipping out the item, $1,300 is a lot of money.

1. When in doubt, don't ship out.

2. Don't sell something until you have money in hand.

3. Someone who files a case right away and you decide to ship? You think it's going to be easy to win? Nope

Thanks for the advice. It looks liek the huge influx of new apple product scammers on ebay are using some sort of paypal glitch(Probably other things to). Everthing looks good until you click on details of the transaction on paypal. It said don't ship, payment has been canceled and you are no longer eligible for seller Protection for this transaction... but the transaction still completes and the money goes into your account. If you would have not clicked on the transaction everything looks normal on your ebay and paypal account and it looks like you can ship no problem. The low feedback and bad English tho is what set off the alarm bells for me tho. Also the fact it's getting harder and harder to sell new apple products without scammers buying.

So the good news is paypal rep said that sense he opened a case already in paypal and then closed it as resolved he is no longer is eligible for seller protection and if he contacts his bank that I'm still intelligible for seller protection.


I was given 3 options. Refund the money which I tried but because of the glitch didn't work on paypals side. Send the money directly or just keep the item and the $1300. So you can guess what I chose mwahaahaa.

I am not 100% on whats gonna happen but all looks good.

All you had to tell us was it's an Ap.ple product.

I've stopped numerous friends from getting scammed on EB with their Ap.ple products and just helped them sell it on Crai.gsL.ist.

All of the sca.mmers are the same. Bad English and making crazy demands through EB messages as soon as they complete the purchase.

ive noticed this happening a lot lately

if the name on the ebay account is different than the name on the paypal payment, its suspect.

AND, if the ADDRESSEE is different from those two, I know whats about to happen. SO- I don't ship it.

100% of the time I've noticed this, paypal opens an unauthorized charge case

No one els finds it crazy paypal said I can keep the 3300 and not even ship the item. Nevermind... lol

Let me clarify tho. NEW apple products. Not used. and iphones no so much. We are talking the really expensive stuff $800+ and there are a few scammers in the $600 range but not very much. THIS APPLIES TO APPLE PRODUCTS ALONE REALLY. MOSTLY APPLE ANYWAY. the apple brand has alot of power

I insure all items over $150. I even insure some lower value items as well.

No toerag buyer is taking my profit .......

Not really...
I had an Ipad 2 that my dog stepped on and caved in the back that I just wanted to get out of the way and bring my feedback score up...It sold 30 dollars below a used one...

Even DEAD apple products have high value.

keep money is what i say, if they file claim refund accordingly.

i usually insure cheap items as low as $50 if its being shipped to an apartment or in florida to those forwarding companies.

If it was just the paw print....I wouldn't have mind it...
But it was 130LBS worth of paw print that caved in the back :shocked::shocked:
