eBay Selling limit keep same
 

Hi,

I don't know what happened to ebay, I sell very well on ebay, no any negative feedback.

I have sold on ebay for 6 month, but no any limit increase, keep 10 item per month. Any suggestion?

I know people here who have gone for many months without increase, but 6 months is long. Have you ever had a raise on other accounts?

I had an account that took a whole YEAR to get the increase from 10/1000

Just keep pushing the account

I had one account that went from 10-30 in 1 year. But the limit is $5000

What are your DSR's on the account?

Also are you selling to the limit each month?

I also have ebay account that goes very slow with increasing. 4 months and still nothing. The account I created before this one also had very hard time with increasing limit but it was finally increased after 4 months. Is ebay getting strict or it's just these particular accounts? Any thoughts?

I had an account that went a year without raises, thought that I should risk it and call in (no use keeping an account at 10/1000 forever).

Account was bumped up to 30/3000 and then 450/50000

I never advise people to call, but I think there is sometimes a glitch with being raised and after a year it might be worth the risk to call. There is always a chance that the account will be instantly banned too, so high risk/reward

Right.. want your selling limits increased? There are a few things you can do including calling in which while I agree can be risky.. it works. Especially after many months of no changes in your limits.. there is little to lose right? Of course have back up accounts setup and ready to go. I would also suggest your account be solid as a rock if you call in... if it's flakey.. or made poorly.. calling in could cost your account.

100% agree, don't bother calling in if your account isn't made correctly or if you've been selling high risk items

For the DSR, no any low rating.

maybe you are right, I need to make a call to get increase!

One more question:

I am a lazy person, so I purchased lots of Router to use on ebay, I find sometime the ip address looks similar, just last 2 digit is not same, do you think ebay will know it come from same ip address?

I agree. Have a strange account myself. Where I have over 50 selling feedback all positive. 100 Buying feedback and have still not got a selling limit increase in over a year. All 4.9 or 5.0 DSRs. No negatives. Strange how eBay works sometimes.

Like tossing a dart. They treat no account the same.

I can have one got from 10-1000 to 30-3000 in 60 days and then have one that stays 10-1000 for 6 months and selling pretty much the same things.

I have a 90 day account.
First month bought 5 items and sold 2
month 2, sold 10 items and got the bump to 30
third month sold 16, just got the bump to 90.

go figure............

This question does not make sense. Maybe you meant IP Range.. that makes more sense. Anyway, it doesn't matter, IP range isn't an issue. Change your IP address before switching accounts (keep track of your IP address) and you won't have any issues.

every account that I've called in to increase the limits always asks for public record info, like HEIGHT on your DL

are you saying you pass this background check?

NO. The reason why is because they're NOT the same IP address, they're clearly different and in regards to eBay that's all that matters.

I suggest reading the eBay Stealth guide because it seems you're not understanding a few very important factors when it comes to stealth.

I never call in for to eBay. That is a no no for me. But when making stealth's I am giving away a secret here. I chose what are left of college towns. It makes it much easier to have things that do not match. (18 to 22-23 yr olds living away aren't in public records like other people). Buy a few junk items on new stealth's then when you register to sell list a few books and make it look like you are in your early 20's. Has been good to me all these years.

There are 8 people in this department. Quite small even for ebay. They are hiring people and trying to build this. It could come to a point to which you must call in to speak with a customer service person in this dept to even get limit increases.

You must have used real information; both names and address.

A few weeks ago, one of my friends made a legit eBay account. Eventually the limit was 10/$1,000. We clicked on the raise limit. They took him through a series of questions. I had no idea what the answers would be. When it was done, limit was immediately raised to 100/$5,000.

I was under the impression after reading the stealth book that as long as the IP numbers don't match EXACTLY then you can't be linked.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

IP address is one of many factors, if you read the stealth guide again, you will notice there are a bunch of things to make sure you follow through. Every one of them are as important as each other. eBay are out to link your accounts, they will find the most minuscule reason to link two accounts. Dont give them that chance. The only way is to make sure everything is unique.

That is actually so true, the fact you know there are 8 is intriguing.

OP, I have always called in for increases, and I have always been granted them. BUT, I have always complied with rules, kept dsr high etc., but most of all, made a stealth account that is so stealthy, it was near-impossible to link and I guess that is what has contributed to my success in raising limits... Also I usually called them every 30 days until my limits were high enough that I wasnt even hitting them.

The fact of the matter is I've spoke with more than 8 before on my accounts, I have about 20 names alone noted down and that isn't all of them in there

Ebay has lots more than 8 different VP's....I doubt there is any dept. with only 8 people in it! lol.
