Ebay Accounts Dissapearing
 

Changed the password ,paypal verified about 2 weeks ago and its a 9 month old ebay, went to log in and gives me the user id is not a registered user and the seller user id can't be found, like it was never made.thing is had this happen on 5% of accounts i found made before this hacking problem anyone else seen this?

You can't reset it again because the id dosent exist! or the email even but was logged in 7-14 days ago weeks after this hacking problems.

You sure you didn't get an MC999 email or anything of the sort? Not even in your eBay messages?

I've got lot experience so i covered all them bases.I called ebay and they put me with a trust and safety manger in US somewhere they even checked the automated message system id i gave them and the previous recorded calls.
, its gone the id dosent exist never created.Like I'm a crazy guy fabricating an acc, so i let them have access to my hotmail!! and then he could see the generated email created when i changed password 14 days ago. I said how can it not ever exist even though was there 14
days ago! so its vanished not even a suspension because can't suspend a acc that doth exist!

One of my friends in uk lost 5 aswell this way, i didn't say i lost loads of course but i said I've seen various comments online i said you can't guarantee the system hasn't wiped loads of adcs as you couldn't guarantee that people hacked million of accs. Anyway it seems any account made before May 21st without Feedback can vanish it seems as this is what he told me ,in the end is happening so they obviously know theres a major problem and its not a hack its there server system loosing the info but they won't release that info of course destroy them.

Maybe someone hacked it and changed ID names etc?

Even if it was hacked, if eBay query the ID used before, it should return something.

Exactly thats my point and guy said if even was hacked wed see the original registration the suspension email they can't even see the email they sent 14 days ago, my friend told me 30 of 100 disappeared from december made. I've lost 10 so not so bad. Clearly just random server loss or error etc who knows i wouldn't panic as if your accs are feedbacked they seem not to be effected, just sleeper accounts. We've not lost 1 feedbacked.

Try putting the username in here...

Warning ebay link : eBay Search: Advanced Search

If the username is active or even 'not a registered user' it will appear there on the ebay page :)

Ebay accounts don't just disappear.....Their either banned or hacked and I would lean towards being hacked.

Does ebay return accounts that have been hacked? or is that it gone for good?

You can get the account back but if the hacker took control over the email, paypal, ebay account and changed all the passwords, and or even changed the phone number....it's pretty much a goner.

No it can disappear it has! i rang ebay not some muppet in customer service i had them return my calls etc then got some US security manager to call me. If a hacker took control of a account then 2 things id either see it had the email change a suspension notice or when you call ebay they can see the original id has been changed the day the id was created regardless who own its now or what its called! there is no registration of it full stop thats why they asked to access the hotmail, i wouldn't be posting it on a forum if i couldn't find my password etc or it been hacked as ovioulsy there would be some movement in the email and i wouldn't bother of calling ebay and letting them call me and them asks for hotmail access!!.Ive ran a multi million pound company via ebay for a longtime so i have some experience and the steps are the first steps checking advanced seller id etc etc i did 2 weeks ago within the first 30 seconds! thanks in advance.

If you have all the registration info, it can be taken back

yes i have all the info and you can always get it back with the info,but its not on the server as never being registered so can't be taken back what whats not there on there server! Theres few others who have lost theres aswell but we don't normally post that type of info for obvious reasons, anyway was just a heads up.

I thought that happened to me about 3 years ago....it was a sleeper I put aside for later, no use or feedback...I thought it was my imagination or I had done something wrong, except I knew I couldnt have....

Exaxtly and on 10! and another guy lost 30!! so probably server loss with all these problems!
I can even go register it again like its never been registered choose same id so its been wiped.

No not found anymore so far, we taking 0.5% of my accounts if your doing 10-100 year you probably never come across it.

Yes this has happened to me as well i had a lot of sleeper accounts that just disappeared into thin air. Almost 50

What happens when an ID is changed, does eBay keep record of the old ID?

The only way to get a hold of someone's account is to have access to their phone or email address. So if your email was hacked, the eBay account can also go.
