eBay does not use Browser Fingerprints?
 

Maybe this thread should be moved to the sub'ed section, but..

I just had a nice stogie and read the Amazon stealth guide for the fun of it :thumb:

I did realize any company really "used" your browser fingerprints - I know they were there, but not used readily as it seems on Amazon.

My question is, does eBay track MAC/browser fingerprints yet (or at least use it to link accounts)? I know there are some older threads asking, but some are 2 years old and I would like to know a more up-to-date answer.

eBay doesn't track the MAC of your router at this point. Just the IP.

MAC and browser fingerprints are two seperate methods of tracking. eBay doesn't track using MAC, but it's possible that they track using browser fingerprints.

I know it is two separate things. But why do you say it is "possible," is that the theory of the recent MC999?

I did not realize how much amazon used it. Rather than making one one VM w/ 10 accounts, I will now need to do 10VM's. AND edit everything about them to make them more unique. If ebay switched it over, I feel like most of us would be screwed. BUT at the same time, they may get screwed as we might be 90% of their reliable sellers :pound:
