user accounts using a different browser.

Will chrome work just as fine as using IE to keep flash cookies separate on a computers user accounts? I have always used IE, it is however crap and i cant stand it. Would chrome work just as well?

Remember that each browser keeps separate cookies.

Each browser keeps Cookies in a slightly different location, but the Mainstream browsers keep user profile data separate.

Here are a few links.

Re: user accounts using a different browser.

Would it be safe to use a skeleton default folder with some bookmarks settings and addons. Or does each one need to be done from scratch?

Re: user accounts using a different browser.

You could just use portable firefox or portable chrome - they are meant to be installed on things like a flash drive (hence the portable name), so everything including the settings and cookies are stored in one neat folder that can be placed on your desktop and moved from PC to PC if really needed to.

You would need to install portable firefox or chrome on each windows user account though.

Re: user accounts using a different browser.

What I mean is would it be safe to edit a basic chrome profile and then copy and paste the default folder to other user accounts so all the settings dont have to be done over and over, would that be safe. or is there any identifying information in the profile even if no history is stored?

Re: user accounts using a different browser.

I did this in firefox so I have certain tabs open ready foe me etc, but I made 1 small error and a few of my accounts got stopped so if you are going to do it, triple check your methods.

It does works if done correctly.
