LMAO, eBay server down..
 

I have not been able to reach ebay's site for about an hour. It looks like their server(s) are down. I love it, the amount of money they get and they can not even keep their servers running 24/7.

Anyone else having problems?

just do a google search for ebay and click the link. works for me

works fine for me on both .com or .co.uk so must be a problem with your internet or something..

I just tried to switch routers and still nothing.

At first I assumed it was just me, so I went to Is it down right now? and it said ebay.com was down for everyone.

I tried ebay.co.uk too, nothing?

I got it. I had to goto anything BUT the main page.

So obviously they have a problem with their apache redirect config

Makes me smile when they mess up ;)

That's strange , were u using Firefox ??

Mine was down also, I even went through google , and every other site worked except eBay

But I was able to log on from my iPad, and than after about an hour it started working again

I was using chrome. That site "is it down", hundreds of people were complaining.

It only took them about 1-2 hours to fix it. But I still find this funny. Not funny as it messed with a lot of peoples business, but funny since it will in theory mess with their gross incomes.. not by much in their sense, but quite possibly $100k in sales due to a server problem.

I doubt it was a caching issue. I believe caching was actually helping. www.ebay .com nor ebay.com (or https equivalent) was working. I still think it was an apache config issue. As the other sites worked (even "ebay.com/?") so it was not their actual "storage" server issue, but an issue with the redirects.

PP was having funny issues for me yesterday too. PP.com would not work, but www . PP . com worked. All is normal now.

It did not work for me..

It has been fixed for several hours now.. Trust me, don't think I tried going to ebay and since it did not work, I just started :smash::smash::smash:

I was hit and miss on EB and PP. I went around it by doing a seach for "ebay login" and "paypal login".. Took care of the problem.
