Ebay Shop with Private Account
 

Hello All, I have a private ebay account which is 4 Months old 36 feedback and I would like to open an ebay shop to save some cost of fees. Is opening a basic ebay shop risky with a private account?

hi there you cant have a private ebay account and be a seller as fare as i know im really not sure about this. but i think you cant try selling an item ebay might ask you to change a setting on your acc or something sorry i cant be more help-full ;[

Sorry if I wonder wrong but I have a private ebay SELLER account , and wanted to know if I opened a basic shop , if I will pose a risk to my account or raise a flag , I have the option to open it but don't know if I should go ahead , wanted to ask forum members who know about this .

if anything it would sttrengthen your account as you're paying more fees to ebay.

However, if you are selling new items (therefore a business trader but pretending to be a private individual) then I would not do it. There are lots of people who will report you to ebay for it, which will of.course alert them to your stealth.

if you're selling old private items, then you have nothing to worry about.

Of course you can have a private seller account and be a seller!

If you have a shop, one would assume you are a business seller.... if you are going to be a business, be one and act like one.

Open a shop and I would suggest you move to a business account if that's what you are looking at doing.

Yes I have a business and private account with one paypal , the private account has 240/month limit and the business only 30/month , been trying to get it increased and keep up with my private but it has just frozen, but I will keep selling on it to use up the 30 limit before using my private to sell items

Thats why I wanted to open a shop on it because its my main account now

You mean it has frozen because the limits aren't being increased, correct? :mod:

You just need to keep selling on it until you can prove to eBay that they can trust you as a seller.

and yep will just have to keep selling and hope for the best
