Wifi cafe
 

Sorry to post a lot but just settling in and getting my feet wet.. I'm able to do the whole new ip thing but should i even do vpn or not?

Secondly, i have a family member who uses same network and occasionally buys on ebay. Should i be concerned?

And finally, if I went to cafe and did all my ebay wouldn't this be the most safest but little bit of hassle way to go?

No, if you operate an US account you do not need any VPN/VPS

Yes, you shall be. If you share the same PC, create a different user account and operate from that. Do not mix-up cookies/history from the same browser, keep everything separated.

Keep a log of used IPs and avoid cross them between the accounts.

If you are using 2 different devices to connect to the internet (PCs or tablets) make sure to not do it concurrently. Only one of you shall be logged in at a time otherwise you will linke the account via the same IP.

This will actually be the most DANGEROUS thing to do. You will use a widely shared IP with other potentially "at risk" ebay/paypal members.
Use only your connection with your IPs.

Plenty of posts in the forum about the above issues. Have a look around, you will also find a nice excel utility to use for logging your ips.

I do this on a few stealth accounts. It certainly isn't the ideal way to go. But it is possible. There is always a chance of being linked to somebody else's accounts etc. Personally I have two accounts I have done this with for 3-4 years now without problem.

Its all relative to the risk you want to take. I will say having to go to the Cafe or being in the parking lot or whatever can become a hassle at times.

@nakamuru, are you in the US? Better options exist such as dongle or cellphone tethering
