| cheapstudent | 08-08-2014 06:57 PM | Aged eBay Stealth Account Period Good evening,
I am taking a poll to see how long eBay Stealth users wait until they begin selling on eBay.
Thank you for your participation, as it will give me a better understanding on how long to wait to start listing.
God Bless,

Do you add Banking Details and Prepaid Card information while the account ages?
Thank you,

JamesNorth101 | 08-08-2014 07:03 PM | Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period Yes I always make sure the account is verified and confirmed before listing.
UK does work a bit different to the US, so I would wait for other US member to chime in with a bit more info for what works best out there. |
GhostWhoWalks | 08-08-2014 07:03 PM | Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period I normally wait 1 to 3 months.
1 month if VCC is verified well.
Up to 3 months if I need to send in more to verify the account.
And I say 3 months because I would use prepaid phone cards and they would only last 3 months before researching so I would start selling to get the pin code within that 3 months.
Then before moving funds. I wait 2 to 3 more months. Or if I need the funds out of there I normally calculate what was the highest paying customer within the last 60 days + what my fees are so if there is a charge back on the account. I will have money in there just in case. RARELY happens but you never know. |
SaiJin | 08-08-2014 07:12 PM | Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period If I'm not in a hurry, 2-4 weeks or even months.
But when it's an emergency, I fire it within 1 week.
Both ways have worked and both ways have gotten random document requests. |
cheapstudent | 08-08-2014 07:16 PM | Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period @Thank you all!
See what I am attempting to do is create a fictitious person (random first and last name) with a local address and I use SIP service and another service to obtain a phone number. I then am using my local credit union to get "free" prepaid cards (assigning the local address) and name that is attached to the PayPal and eBay.
I hope this is acceptable.... as far as being "Stealth"...? Though I know I run a chance of running into more notices but I figure if I stay under radar and let the accounts age all will be fine.

Dmshark25 | 08-08-2014 09:14 PM | Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period I usually will list a low risk item right after creating my selling account. The item is usually no more than four dollars I'll do a seven day auction and start at $.99 with free shipping
And I'll usually list this first item either the same day or within three days of account creation.
Once the item sells the important thing is the ship out right away same day is always optimal next day at the latest.
After that first sale Ill forget about the account and just let it sit for about 3 to 5 weeks.
And then once I log back in I'll list the same very low-risk items but I'll list about 5 to 10 of them and again there not to make any money I'm happy just to cover shipping and fees,
the objective here is just to get the account ready to be able to sell and make money and to do this you need to ship low-risk items get them there fast and have that customer happy and leave positive feedback.
To me an account is not ready rather it's not profitable until it reaches the 90 day mark, I look at the first 90 days as a probation period Where you are under a microscope and you're being tested by eBay and PayPal and you need to prove to them that you will be a trustworthy seller while providing great customer service and fast shipping.
Then on the fourth month usually Paypal holds are gone limits on eBay are raised and that's When I gradually increase sales and also start implementing my normal products.
I have tried all different ways selling fast right away anyway you can think of but this plan here is the most productive way to go if you're looking for an account to be profitable and to have longevity |
nakamuru | 08-10-2014 03:56 PM | Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period Whoa seems lot of you guys have patience. . Seems you have regular jobs and ebay is side to wait this long. If you sell handmade items.. such as tshirts That are not copyrighted or trademarkes. Will this consider low key.. 15.00 per tee.. can I list like 10 or 20 a week after signing up .. then if it generates some sales move to like 40 next week and so on? |

But I called in twice within 4 days for a raise they gave me 50 extra items than days, later unknowingly I called in again and that was it
But I found stealth, and I got a job, that I worked full time, because you need patience for this to work, pushing sales just will not work in the long run, you will get shut down if u go full force before 90 day mark
So I worked and grew my stealths and than once they all started getting limited raises and holds lifted on funds , I was working my one job and up all night doing eBay ,
Eventually I cut back on hours until I had enough accounts and backups going where I was able to do eBay full time
So patience is almost a must jot an option if u want an account to have longevity, and prosper |
bjammin | 08-10-2014 07:02 PM | Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period @OP, that is not a one response question. When I first started stealthing, I would list immediately, all 10 items day one. This was of course after PP had my CC and bank info confirmed. In fact, I do not add my EB until PP is confirmed and verified. Then I would create my EB selling account.
Now that I have a bank of stealths ready, I do not list immediately. Mostly because of the time it takes to go stealth to stealth to stealth, etc etc. |

joesshooze | 08-11-2014 10:19 AM | Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period What JamesNorth101 said. It all depends what you are listing. Hundreds of people open eb accts. and list immediately why shouldn't we. Be prudent with listings. |

So whatever way u feel is best go from there, if it works than stick with it if not than adjust |
cheapstudent | 08-14-2014 01:31 PM | Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period Thank you everyone for the insight! I still have much to learn, when it comes to creating stealth accounts. I must say I really need to start taking notes to avoid the same mistake twice it not only costing me time but money too!
Thank you all again though.:-) |

CheapStudent | It seems like you have done a lot of research. Might have saved some money in teh meantime by not buying the Stealth Guide. Would be a shame if you had something slip through and lose some accounts, especially when the issue is clearly addressed in the Guide.
(I see one error in your post that might cause you trouble, the Guide solves it. get off a few bucks and do it right. I have 10 stealth accounts and only had one problem (my fault)). |
GhostWhoWalks | 08-16-2014 08:15 AM | Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period You should of put the option of 1 month+ |
Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period Waiting 4 weeks in general but have been pushing to 2 weeks |
GhostWhoWalks | 08-16-2014 10:48 AM | Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period Dang I do the 2 to 3 months wait.
This gives me enough time to work on auction styles and listings. |

Re: Aged eBay Stealth Account Period 2-3 months...that is discipline :) and none of this 0/0 business? | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:10 AM. | |
