A Vero registration question

Hi Guys,

I have tried searching for an answer to this everywhere but can't seem to find one. A brief back story, I currently have 1 main account and 2 stealths, my main is where I do most trading, but building up the stealths for emergency failover. Anyway, I recently came across a niche in my current market and had some parts made up, there was a total of 1 competitor who sold this part so after manufacturing, profit margins were still very good and I went ahead and listed them on a stealth that needs to get some more sales, the listing was instantly pulled by the competitor due to 'trademark infringement', please bear in mind that this is an un-branded product with no design rights, he is just killing any competitor that gets in his way by unscrupulous means and putting ridiculous margins on his products.

Now, to my question. With my main account I am trying to implement my own brand, so everything gets branded with the company name/logo, if I register as a vero member with all my fully legit details and list this item under my main account with my branding, can the other vero member still pull my listing? I have no intention to pull other peoples listings (unless they copy my logo and name obviously), I just want to protect my listings without having to take people like this to court.

I would appreciate any help that anyone can offer.

Thanks

If you have all the proper documents I don't see why you couldn't file for Vero.

I'd spend $200 on a consult with a trademark/copyright attorney to get answers to every question you might ever have...cheap knowledge....

Thanks for the replies, it's annoying that you have to pull another persons listing to be able to register on the vero program, as I don't want to pull an innocent persons listing I was going to get another stealth account and pull a listing on it to register myself. In regard to the legal aspect, I'm already in the process of getting a solicitor to write a letter to the competitor as they have no trademark on what I have(no-one does).

Is it safe to assume that a vero member cannot pull another vero members listing?

Welcome to the forums - you should get professional assistance to protect the listings if you want to be ahead of the game

If you are going to speak to an attorney about sending him a letter, I would include a threat of litigation since he is costing you money whereas he doesnt sound like he has the right. That might chill his lil badass out!
