Problem buyer

Got a problem with a buyer and not sure what I should do.

They've claimed they have not received there order so i check the address on the transaction and the address does not look real, it's a uk address.

Looks like this.

I've contacted them and told them that I've noticed they have an address that's not real and they've replied with (my address is *****) and gave me an address that looks real. i then tell them it's been sent to the address they gave at the time of payment and there just playing dumb and messaging me the same message saying (my address is ****** please send to this address as soon as possible.) there account is 3 weeks old with 1 feedback. I've tried to communicate with them but seems there acting stupid so Not sure wether to contact eBay or just ignore them.

What do you's think? cheers

Re: Problem buyer

Tricky

Depends on the value of the item and if a case has been opened

If a case has been opened and it went to eBay it should be awarded in your favour (never any guarantee though), but if you want to avoid it going to eBay either a replacement or a full refund.

them saying "hurry and send" sounds like a scam to me. not sure if it worth the headache or not, but I would prob just send another or refund.

Scam.

I've had it before.

If the item amount is high, I would fight.

This case you can win, and do not ship another item out under any circumstances.

Re: Problem buyer

You will win this case.

Make sure to report them to eBay for asking you to send to an address not on file.

If the address is ⊗⊗⊗⊗, the item will be returned, I hope you have access to that address.

Re: Problem buyer

OP:

1. If you are comfortable about reporting the buyer, you should. THere should be a link in the bottom of the ebay message with that option.

2. I don't think you have anything to worry about when it comes to buyer's address and you have covered your steps as in using a tracking or signature confirmation depending on the item and you didn't ship outside of the country.

3. Worse comes to worst, you'll get the item back and you refund the buyer because their address is invalid, best scene scenario the item showed delivered and they lose the case. Once they lose the case, they CANNOT leave a feedback and ANY feedback they leave will be deleted.

Also don't forget to put this person's ID in your block list right now.

Check the address next time before despatch as well.

Depending on other circumstances, think about changing 'buying' requirements as well. Control the idiocy.

Good Luck

OP, submit proof of wrong address as proof with your rebuttal

I have had similar situations in the past and just ignored them. But I will leave a paper trail of messages stating what I think is going on, so if something does come up eBay has me on record as stating they are trying to rip me off.

Re: Problem buyer

Thanks for replies everyone. I would of refunded or sent replacement if buyer seemed genuine and admitted to making a mistake, but seems there just being stupid by repeatably sending me the same message, so I'll just ignore them not got time for it if they open a case or leave neg feedback then I'll report them to ebay.
