Why do I have 1 watcher when my item is not listed yet?
 

Hey guys

I made a few accounts and as soon as I list an item for sale, I noticed I instantly have 1 watcher...

Now the strange part is my listing aren't even showing up yet in the ebay search. Even if you click on my User ID, it says currently nothing for sale.

Is this eBay watching me or something?

the 1 viewed count is the eBay bot.

Are you sure it's "watcher" and not "viewed" ?

Every account, no matter what I list it always shows 3 views and 1 watcher instantly. At first I thought it was me that I clicked the watch button by accident. But its not....

I listed generic items like a popcorn maker on one account, auto parts on another. Instantly 1 watcher with 3 page views.

Any my listings don't show up in search because they aren't indexed yet.

Now when I wake up tomorrow I will see bunch page views and new watchers....

It's possible it's an eBay bot or they are glitching again since they are implementing changes.

Or there's also the possibility that you yourself can't see your listing, but buyers can already.

Sometimes listings are publically searchable for a brief moment right after you list it, and then gets delisted by eBay for security/verification/etc. It's highly possible that someone saw your listing in this very short timeframe and decided to watch it.
