MC999 strike and increasing selling limits

So I got a bit careless on a some-what established account and got hit with a MC999 Trademark Violation - Unauthorized Item. I wasn't being as thorough with my descriptions and rushed them out, a bad mistake I won't make again.

My main worry now is that I won't see any natural limits increases in the up coming months.

Does anyone know/have experience with getting seller limits increased (naturally) after receiving a single MC999 strike?

I know seller limits overall are a random and unpredictable beast but I'm not sure if a strike guarantees your limits get frozen from the system and the only chance of increase is calling in... this is the info I'm looking for.

P.S.: the time before a strike goes inactive is still 3 months right?

Thanks!

Yes, I've had a couple of 100/5000 accts that got raised after some trademark violations. It was total bull, but I got their point now. I used a brand name in the title to describe my generics, but it doesn't matter, it still hits you as a trademark violation. It also depends if the acct is favored by eBay. These are random, but you can tell when it is favored by the list rankings and other things. Other accounts, you just have to pray that you get raised limits.

I have gotten same type of mc999 on quite a few accounts that were 10/1000 at the time of the violation, and got raised to 30/3000 a few weeks later; and then some of those accounts went from 30/3000 to 90/9000 and 100/5000.

and for the record, i've had squeaky clean accounts get stuck at the 10/1000 limit for a long, long time. Seems to be little rhyme or reason to it.

but no, an mc999 does not freeze your natural limit increases. I'm sure it doesn't help your chances, but you can certainly get increases after.
