Hacked or Glitch?
 

Just received this email in EBay.

However I have not used EBay online support for ages?

Is there a rational explanation?

Is the xxxxxxxxxxx your user ID or your real name?


Should it be user ID, this may be a phishing email.

Some are doing the rounds at present.

User ID.

I read on ecommercebytes there was a security breach where anyone could discuss someone else's User ID on Live Chat.

It's not the real deal.

Communications come with your name, not ID.

Been dealing with another sort just this week.

Send the email with headers to ebay, then delete.

Under no conditions open this.

Glad you were aware of the chances of issues.

The email has been received in EBay by the way.

The site the link would have taken me to is

to a site with "survey" and "medallia" in it.

(I have edited this to avoid posting half the link)

Tonnes of phishing emails doing the rounds regarding ebay and paypal.

I never click on them but I can see how casual users of ebay or the internet could fall for them.

Just want to show everyone what the site was.

Still not sure if it is genuine or not as it has appeared in EBay messages.

I dont click on links or requests like this - just stick to sales...if in doubt, don't check it out
