Buying on eBay/PayPal?

If I have a limited account am I okay to just set up another in the same details for buying only? I read on here that it's hard to get suspended for just a buying account but I am not interested in selling on eBay whatsoever. I buy repair projects on eBay and then sell them on Gumtree. Fortunately, despite being owned by eBay, Gumtree is much more laid back. Obviously, I'll need a new bank account but surely they have a system that just does random checks for these accounts? if this is okay, what's the number one thing to stay away from?

You can get away with something like that for a while on EB, but it is still possible to get limited even if it is just a buying account. It is more likely that the PP account will have issues.

If you are just buying there is little need for a bank account you can just use a VCC.

You would be best off creating a stealth buying account and using a accessible address or mailbox.

Avoid doing even that for ebay buying.

ebay UK is more than strict doing manual reviews.

Your old suspended info will flag your new stealth account.

Make everything new.

Good Luck

The address is the only issue I have, I don't have any other accessible address. Also, what happens if the item is signed for etc?

As I already mentioned have a look at rentable mail boxes. That will solve your address issue.

Don't bother messing around in old info - make new stealth account for buying...then use for selling later :thumb:

I have no access to any other addresses, so looks like mail box is the way to go. What do you guys typically pay for this kind of service?
