First limit raise!
 

Hey guys,

I started stealth back in February.

One of my accounts just got a limit raise today.

It went from the starting 10/$1000 to 100/$5000. Boom!

I didn't get any notifications or emails or anything.

I initially had been selling the max 10 items, all cheap stuff ($20 range) for the last few months.

Since dollar amount is ultimately more important to me, I listed 10 more expensive items this month $40-$140 range) and maxed out the $1000 of listings, and sold 4 of them so far.

A few questions:

- this limit raise took quite a few months to get. Is there any way to predict if/when it will ever raise itself again, and if so what's the common next jump to?

- now that the limit is higher, should I be careful as far as maxing it out quickly? Would listing all 100 items raise a flag?

- any other tips to growing it as efficiently as possible?

Congrats on the limit increase.

Limit increase tend to be random, but usually tend to kick in after 90 days.

I would gradually increase rather than rushing to hit those limits.

Continue to build other accounts so they can increase as well.

Just because you have increases, doesn't mean your account is bulletproof. It is still susceptible to getting shut down if you do something to draw attention.

the worst is having an account with limits raised get shut down.

Pat yourself on the back for a job well done. Now make more accounts!

There has been quite a few positive threads recently. I winder if ebay are trying to counter the negativity caused by the defect system/managed returns.

Once my account hits 100/5000, it usually freezes. My oldest stealth is May'13, and it is stuck on 100/5000. Now if you get a 30/3000 then you'll see a 90/9000, then if you are lucky you'll see a 270/27000. It never touched the "100/5000" mark. This account is only about 6 months old. So again, everything is so random with EB.

Like others above said, you should create more stealths. Not all will get the same limit increases. But the more stealth accounts you have, the stronger your front will be.

Way to go...increases feel good don't they!! Lots of my accounts are stuck at 100/5K, but I don;t care of they ever go up again, because I have so many accounts, I could never max them all out in one month! Keep up the good work!

I made 6 stealth accounts. They all got raised from 10/$1000 to 50/$2500 after about 2 weeks selling on them. I sell items that are about $100-$150 a piece and maxed out quickly.

Feedback plays very little role in limit increase in my experience. I had limits increased with less than 10 feedback and one of them was negative.

On all my accounts I have like 3-4 feedback per account.

First stealth account, I sold 10 items first day I made accout and $1200 in sales.

Account got flagged and taken down. I faxed in everything to ebay and they fixed it. Then my limits got raised about two days after I got reinstated. All other accounts I just got emails saying limits raised.

Wow congrats! What do you consider "safe" items to list? Are small electronics safe?
