Is it ok to list in the 'wrong' category?

Hi, I haven't sold on Ebay for sometime now and I am noticing that the 'Buy it Now' fixed price listings is now only free in selected categories and most of my items were in the Toys section which isn't a free listings category. I was wondering if it would be still ok for me to list it in the category 'Everything Else" ?

As long as you know and understand the consequences If Ebay catches you.....Proceed. Also, IF the item fits the "Toy" Category then it MIGHT work.

List at your own risk, no one can guarantee anything.

It is deliberately breaking ebays rules to avoid fees.

Ebay frowns on this!

Competitors will likely report your listings to. They will feel aggrieved they are paying listing fees and you are not.

Seriously? You would be willing to take a risk to avoid a 30 cent fee?

Do you think people looking for toys are going to be looking through the "Everything Else" category for them? Are you willing to lose a sale for 30 cents?

Is there something I am missing here? Is there a fee that I am unaware of, or has the insertion fee changed?

The answer is NO.

Do you want a long lasting business with eBay? Then give them their fair share.
You'll eventually got caught and you'll be back in here with more questions and you'll be wasting more time and money building a new account.

Again, regardless, eBay still deserves their fair share.

You may get away with it for a month tops

Of course you can't list in the wrong categories......that's why they have made categories for every item under the sun...
