Mc99 unauthorized picture & text

Hello,

I have received a few MC99 violations for unauthorized text & picture
through ebay from a few companies like ifixit ,nautilusinc etc.....
i am a dropshipper and i noticed that allot of members on ebay keep selling these products (as dropshippers) with no problems and no violations,
i do not add brand name in title or model number

is there anything i can do to avoid this situation ?
except stop being a dropshipper

Take your own pics and write your own product description.....

If you are not using your own pictures, then you need to start using your own pictures. Companies do not allow people to use their pictures. They paid for them to be done professionally. Do not use other EB seller's pics either. Get your hands on what you are selling and take your own pics.

I dont understand these 'issues' I really dont.

Problem: Ebay have told me I am violating policy by using stock photos and text!

Solution: Use your own photo and info as they ask you to?

Problem: Ebay tell me i'm not allowed to sell goats testicles on ebay for health and safety, what do I do?

Solution: Stop selling goats testicles?

Just not a good practice and eb frowns on drop shipping.

LOL you guys are too funny.

Yeah use your own pics… how other sellers get away continuously with stock photos baffles me sometimes too though.

Sometimes their listings get pulled in retrospect...eB has up to 90 days in the past to remove listings...

Watermarking my pictures is crucial to me! So many sellers are unaware of the new lojack for photos. I know a really good watermarking program if anyone's interested.

For new items on eBay, it is sometimes OK to use eBay's stock photos. For used items, they want you to take your own pictures. For example, eBay has stock photos and descriptions for books, movies and video games where they PREFER that you use their photos if your items are new.

But swiping photos from Google is a dicey proposition. So is using a manufacturer's photos and descriptions unless you have their permission. Many manufacturers are fine with this and routinely grant permission if you ask them. Others are not as nice.

When I take my own photos, I always add EXIF data and a watermark. Technically, eBay does not want the watermarks, but if they are small and unobtrusive, it seems to be ok, at least for now. You know how eBay is, something is just fine with them for awhile and then suddenly you get violation notices.

The most dangerous way to get pictures is to swipe them from another eBay seller. That is almost a GUARANTEED complaint if that seller finds out about it.

The reason I ALWAYS use EXIF data is because once I had a rival seller swipe my pictures and complain to eBay that I stole "his" pictures. He had a hard time explaining to eBay why MY username was in the EXIF data on "his" original photographs! The little douchebag is no longer a registered user...

Interesting. They rather you use eB stock photos for new items, when available. THAT their saves me hours of taking photos and the electric bill.
