I'm still waiting. Worst service Ive ever experienced. Any ideas. Thanks. Is this do to spring seler update?. Are they even gonna answer?.

20 mins is nothing. Have been waiting over 80-90 mins. Generally around 40-50 mins.

You can't complaint. Even people with high selling limits (over $XXX XXX) do not have personal eB account managers where to call and fix the issues, raise limits, etc.

That is the "American" standard.

Look those CS Reps:


Aren't they lucky guys :D? They're playing games (baseball, table tennis, belote, sixty, swamp, monopoly, boards, domino, etc.) while (legally and officially) holding the people (from the Globe, not just from NA) calling them. And they're payed for this.

Did it say how long the estimated wait time was? I usually just double whatever time they give me, it's more accurate that way. Longest I waited was around 70 minutes (estimate wait time 30 minutes, sure ebay).

Quit being such a little whiner. Just like any other calling centers, there are times where they're swarmed by high call volumes. This is quite common on weekends as well, considering today is Saturday. If it's taking too long to conenct you to eBay, feel free to hang up and call again later.

I don't remember the last time when I have NOT seen this message: High phone volume leading to extended wait times: High phone volume leading to extended wait times. Surely, it was around Aug 2013 I think.

So generally they're swarmed by high volume and extended wait times every day, 300+ days of the year. And haven't been fixed yet (after so many years).

My experience with their call center is that I they only have two employees working at the center because when I called in the past they always sounded familiar. So I felt I was always talking to the same person all the time.

Seems that all other were eating (lunch) and that's why you got the same rep. Can't figure out any other real reason (except: "people could do whatever they wanted, take a break as long as they want" of course).

I worked in a call center before but its an airline company not ebay, and theres a lot of reasons for high call volumes and the number one reason i see is because a lot of users are complaining about the service or asking questions that are easily seen on the website, second is few agents, these agents are from asia and they only earn $300-$400 a month for doing this job and getting too much stress from callers are too much to handle for most of them so most agents quit this kind of job in less than a month and look for a more relaxed job. And third reason is some agents are too tired of hearing complaints from customers so they put their customers on hold for minutes, so if 50% of agents are doing that method it means that only few agents are answering calls. My co-workers before love that method especially if the supervisors are not around. There's actually a lot of methods but putting customers on hold is their favorite and while customers are on hold some of the agents eat, some are chit chatting, some are using their phones under their desk and so on. I know this for a fact because i worked in a call center for one year.

BiN4RY is right. Quit whining. You can always go elsewhere. 20-30 mins. is nothing. I have personally waited over an hour. Eb is having issues lately and is probably swamped with calls. Be patient if you want to make money here because most of us do.

Ive called twice this weekend.. 60 min holds at least! I Just put my phone on speaker and set it down lol... continue with what else has to be done

The longest time for eBay hold is about 90-120 minutes.

ON AVERAGE it's about 1 hour.

So next time, be prepared!

We need a tool to know when exactly to unmute the phone or the headphones when we receive a voice from a real human. "Hello, many name is X, how can I help you for today?"

If there is some, no problem to wait 2+ hours.

Busy call centers are a positive thing. You may have to wait awhile for your call to be answered but they are less likely to investigate and follow full procedures when evaluating whether to grant your request. This means more limit increases, feedback removals, etc without going the database verification, fax in docs, or full account evaluation route. They are more likely to say yes to get you off the line without push back.

False advertisement bro. Every time I call up ebay it's someone who can hardly speak English. then I see this Video? Acting all professional and stuff. :laugh::pound:

The people playing games on that video should be in the fitness room or answering my calls. Last time I was 3 hours on the phone on hold waiting to speak to someone until I hung up. Thank god I use skype and I'm playing a game on my laptop while I wait for nothing to happen! This video pissed me off so badly!!! You don't even know. They should show the India or other locations in the world and have an English understanding speaking glass and not a gym with video games.
