PERSONAL STEALTH ACCOUNTS ONLY. Anyone have LIMITS OVER a 100 items ??
 

I am finding over a period of about a full year on multiple personal accounts that I can not break the 100 item per month limit.

I already know to spread sales and have multiple accounts. I KNOW that.

MY only question is, anyone here with a PERSONAL account ONLY have over a 100 item limit? and how long did it take to get it raised?

I list to the max each month and it still stays at a 100 every month.

Impossible, unless it was opened years ago.

New accounts now, personal are limited to 100 items.

Ask ebay to increase and they will pose the question: Why as a personal seller do you need more?

They will also tell you, what I am about to tell you...the only difference between personal and business is with business your forced to offer a returns policy. Believe it or not, percentage of buyers who return are very low.

Business also breaks barriers, so you can literally have a selling limit of like 1,000 items per month or even more.

You cant get more than 100 on personal, but if your adamant, you might need to open multiple personal stealth accounts.

Not really, I have a stealth with a limit of 180/$18,000 (increases as follows; 10-20-60-180) within 3 months.

This account is hibernating until next year because of Paypal requirements.

I think you opened it some time ago or its a business account.

I have been told by numerous ebay advisors the same thing, max. is 100 on personal accounts.

It makes sense, why would you need more than 100 on a personal account? keep in mind its personal, you should not be selling multiple lots of items, or selling frequently same items - that would be classed as business since your buying, selling, with intention to make profit.

@Play - Have you noted that the OP's flag is US? US and UK are different.

In the UK it is possible to get well over 100 items , just takes time. Rule of thumb is that eBay advisors lie/have little idea what they are talking about.

I have a personal account created in Feb this year that is now on 240 items thought natural selling increases.

I have one personal account open on May 2014, it is 160 now. I think it all base on what you sell.

Last year we had an ebay rep tell a member here that automatic increases on business accounts had stopped. You HAD to ring in for any limit increase. This was disproved pretty quickly.

I have a personal account from early this year that jumped from 30-120 after I sold 2 items.

Very much agree - very possible to get over 100 items p/month from my recent selling experience on fairly new accounts.

You do of course have to get excellent DSR's, positive feedback & be selling a decent volume to trigger the limit increases.

My account is about 7 months, but I got the raises when it was only 3 months old.

The stealth accounts that I have at 100/5000 do not seem to be going any higher after hitting the 100/5000 mark.

I have other stealth accounts that go to 30/3000 then 90/6000 or 90/9000. 2 of these accounts have moved to 150/9000 (created Oct 2013) and 270/27000 (created Jan 2014). So, if you actually have a newer stealth at 100/5000 exactly, then I do not think it will move higher (just my opinion). But if you get a 30/3000 increase then you may get a few more increases.

There is no rhyme or reason to their increases.

I have few accounts with over 100 - been in play since 2010/2011/2012 - basically had high limits from the beginning...

Not so great success with newly created accounts

Almost all my accts are over 250/25,000. I think the piece count is higher but I never notice because I never use them much.

seems pretty clear that US users tend to get high allowance.

I have also established personal accounts can go beyond 100...something numerous ebay advisors had said was not possible.

Dont really see where these advisors get their info to be honest...

My account limit raised to 100 Items less than 3 months i think it depends on the catergory you list in and how many items and positive feedback and how fast you ship items to buyer matters in factor.

OP is asking how to go beyond 100...something I too have had problems with on "personal" accounts.

I really think it all depends on category of item your selling.

I have read so many posts, everyone has their own selling allowances that have increased in a sporadic manner with no consistency.

A bit like quantum physics.
