Paypal and Ebay cooperation will over in 2015?
 

Hello everyone,

I heard that paypal will not work together with ebay in around 6 months, is that true?

If so, how buyers will pay and will we still be able to create stealth accounts?

Well, as long as PayPal will still be one of the payment methods on Ebay i'm fine with that, I believe PP will cooperation with other big websites and ebay will probably add other payment methods so maybe it will be just better for the seller.

What do you mean ? You mean that you don't think Ebay will add other payment methods or you don't think PayPal will stay a payment method ?

I bought more on ebay before they forced PayPal on me as buyer. I miss days people letting you pay with check or they had own merchant account. I used to spend thousands at a time now I only buy if few dollars. Sure others cut back on buying once PayPal was forced on us buyers. Where did I move to amazon. Used get few packages daily from ebay now its few packages daily from Amazon. They even killed half.com which I used to buy from even more often in late 90s.

ebay will always use paypal as its extra revenue for them as oppose to using other vendors. In fact it was only recently they forced sellers to have paypal as a method of payment, which means if your listing doesnt accept paypal, it would be violating their policy. Even if your selling an item for cash on collection, you must have paypal as an option and you are not allowed to force the buyer to pay cash, they have the right to pay via paypal and come and collect - this has had nasty surprises for some in the past as some con artists used to collect the item and report to paypal they have not received any item yet. I even saw an article on a local newspaper about this scam taking place. ebay on the other hand say, ask your buyer to sign a document stating they have collected the item, a document that could be signed by anybody though right :s

Basically there are flaws but ultimately Paypal will be eBay's payment solution.

I don't think eBay will add other payment methods given their past track record
