How to appeal a case?

I have never had to appeal a case before however this time I must try. Buyer was not happy, I accepted to refund for a return, buyer escalated case and ebay decided in their favor without them having to return the item. It says I can appeal in seller dashboard but there is absolutely no option anywhere. I tried calling but after holding for 35min I hung up. Anyone know how to appeal?

Is there a link in the email they sent you?

Hmm I had not checked the email. Do you know if that is where they send it? The notification on ebay had a link saying I could appeal but the link only took me to text saying I could appeal in seller dashboard. LoL it was the usual dead end...Unless Im missing something

A quick look at ebays help pages says you need to go to the case details in the resolution centre. You should be able to appeal from there.

As a side note you should never let a case be esculated.

Yes, I went to the resolution center and there is no option anywhere. Also, I never let cases get escalated. I accepted their request to return it and then they must have contacted customer support by phone to escalate it.

Re: How to appeal a case?

I overturned a case from ebay and spent around 1 1/2 hours on the phone. The first time I had called the women basically sided with the buyer. I called again hoping for the best and well I got a secrete maybe?

The women that spoke with me the first time basically said I can't call in as a seller and escalate the case because if I do I'm basically saying the buyers right? That logic still makes no sense to me. The guy I had talked to for almost a half hour ended up saying "when I transfer you, you CANNOT ask for them to review the case you MUST ask "what is my standing on the case" ...

I'd have to test this out again but it worked! I mean I had uploaded pictures, everything made sense for them to side with me but sometimes they DON'T so you got to play be there rules..

They also blocked the ebay buyer, blocked any possible negative feedback they would give me... and deleted the case off my DSR!

If you can be patient enough, I've found the biggest thing about ebay is talking to the RIGHT person. Every time you call you get a different experience.

This is why I was suspended in the first place and it pisses me off they always take they buyers side. I sold a 3-D printer on eBay and when the person received it they claimed it did not have a computer in it. FYI that's about %80 of the cost of the thing. Makes me mad that he got his $900 back and I got back nothing. They said they can not make him return it to me. but I could take him to court. long story short I worked at the bank my account was at and was able to stop PayPal from getting their money. just could not take that kind of loss.
