Ebay refused to give me restriction reason
 

so i had a restriction placed on my account yesterday, the email said it was because they thought it was linked to a old susp account, however everything is completely different down the computer, this account was started in 2008 and power seller account in above standard rating. i called in to talk to them and the lady told me she wasn't allowed to tell me why the account was restricted. anyone ever heard of this?

Pretty standard. They will very rarely give you an exact reason .

this is killin me, i cant figure out how they could of linked aside from product i mean everything was completely different, not any type of name variations or anything just completely separate.

Even if they were to give you a reason IT'S ALWAYS A LIE. Trust me! Never believe what eBay rep is telling you. Most of them are clueless. Would you really care about someone's banned account if you only make $15 an hour?

well i guess its time for me to setup some stealth account. the account i had i sold about 3 diff type of product. my strategy now is going to be to have 3 diff accounts selling 1 product each to keep $$s low on each account. im hoping that will take the spotlight off me

As far as I know there is no chat for eBay USA.

Try calling again, someone will help you out.

ok so this lady told me the accounts shared a few email links and a ip address a few times. this doesnt make sense though because i got a new computer never signed into old account, changed the ip on my router and have a separate email.

I would try for different agent while you set up other stealth accounts in the meantime

so this account is still up and going, i cant list anything more but im still selling off all my items that were listed as good till cancelled... im hoping it works itself out, i had my limits up to $200k

That is a familiar story....they kick you off and say..."oh, sorry, we can't tell you that for security reasons"........that's how F****D up they are.

It's how they play the game. You get suspended, and they won't tell you the exact reason.

You can usually figure out the reason, either by yourself or with the help of people here. Then make stealth accounts and beat them at their own game.

Could be a possibly just bad luck. If your creating people out of thin air with common names.. That common name can easily link with someone else because its a "common name"
