ebay auto return
 

happened twice now on Uk ebay. Before I even read that buyer wants return, they have opened a 'I want to return item' case and the return to my registered address, is initiated and they have informed buyer to return it, no asking me or checking address etc...

lucky my address is accessible, but for stealthers, you used to be able to intervene with a personal message eg. send back to sticker on envelope etc or change address on case etc.

I mean even for non-stealthers this is nonsense, what if their registered address is not the return address they need it to go to for a particular reason, what if it is dropshipped or needs to go to the manufacturer or another address....

Yes it is a complete pain. Theres not even any option for an exchange which most customers want. There is also no scooe to message the buyer. All you can do is refund.

It is a ridiculous system. Iv had one item go to a stealth addees as I didnt reply in time.

Now more than ever its important to have access to your address.

Can not run a business plan with 'what ifs'

I dont disagree this is stupid on the part of ebay.

But with the other horrible changes, address access should have been made critical for any type of seller.

Simply no longer possible to trust not only the buyer but ebay too.
