Increasing limits even more!
 

Hey guys,

I created an Ebay account a while back using real details (a family member) and the limit was 10 a month. We called in to increase our limits to 100 and they asked us to provide ID, utility bill and invoice. We handed the info in and 2 a few days later they increased our limits to 100.

Now i know this isnt stealth, but i was just wondering, how can i increase my limits even more? When i was calling Ebay (waiting in the queue), the audio message was saying something about "we cannot increase your limits today if you had a limit increase in the last 2 weeks".

Now from this, does that mean i can ask for another limit increase after 2 weeks? How can i increase my limit even more since i dont really have to submit any documents anymore. I know that i have to keep my dsr up and try to list to my limit.

What are your experiences in getting limits raised (the unnatural way) after the 100 mark, after all your documents are approved?

Make more accounts..spreading sales is the smart way to sell more...if you lose an account, it won't wipe you out.

i know that already, but that was not my question, since im not talking about stealth. Im talking about how to increase a verified account (with legit documents) to higher limits (eg unlimited listings) without just waiting for it to happen.

you shouldn't be under anyone in your family. if ever taxes get involved its under there name. bad for stealth

plus you can only increase once every month so NO you can't, you have to wait.

Simply put you wont be able to.

From when I used my real name account I used to pester them for increases all the time. They told me time and time again that it can only be done on a monthly basis and would actually give me a date when I could next call in and review.

The problem will come when you start selling, it all depends on your items and if you have documentation from the manufacturer giving you permission to sell there product in bulk.

And the more you call in the more they will dig into your account and find something that they do not like.

The best way is to keep selling , when the account is ready for an increase you will get it automatically,

And unless they changed it , it's usually 45 days for your next increase if your calling in, I never heard of 2 weeks

But regardless, it's risky, and you should be prepared to show documents that your an authorized dealer, invoices , business licenses, the whole way

at shagtown...you are pushing this account way too much, way too quickly - make other backup accounts

Definately heard wrong, its once a month you can get an increase, but calling in every month may cause unnecessary risk to your account.

Ok thanks for the response. Normally from everyones experience, how long does it take to increase to the next limit automatically, and what limit is it? 200 items or 500 items per month?

no it is a personal account. if it is a personal account and i eventually go on to sell in large quantities, is it mandatory to change the account from personal to business. for example down the track i sell over 500000 dollars a year, do i need to switch over to a business account or i can just stick with personal? the account has all real info including id, ssn etc. it is not stealth
