having multiple ebay accounts

I am new here to the forums and i plan on buying atleast 10 accounts and i was thinking of getting a post office mail box for my returns from ebay so when i ship the item i could just print out my real name and po box address on some address labels and black out the other name and address on the label from ebay would that be ok to do that ☺

hm...the buyer might notice and file a complaint for the inconsistency.

The buyer might notice, but I know myself and many others have done this exact thing and it has not been a problem. Good thinking outside the box on how to get around this problem!

I too have all my returns sent back to the same PO Box...and I don't get many returns.

What I have learned over time is this...buyers seem to be "hinkey" about returning an item to a different address than ebay gives them BEFORE they have their money back. However, it seems that AFTER I refund them, they will address it to Santa at the North Pole if I ask them to....figuring, hey, I got my money, I don't care what happens to it now.

That's been my experience anyway.

Just hope that you have honest buyers that will ship back the item after they have their money.

Instead of putting your real name, you can put the ebay user ID in the spot where you would normally put a name. It would be a lot less weird. And instead of blacking out the info, consider getting some address labels and printing the PO box address on that and just sticking them over the stealth address. Again, it seems less weird.

I use Stamps.com instead of printing from Paypal. You would have to manually enter the tracking number into Ebay each time, but this way you can have 1 PO box address listed on the shipping label without having to cross anything out by hand.

Dont black out the label - just remove and replace...make it look professional

Hmm, it doesn't matter with P.O box

Thanks for the replies so using a ebay user name instead of your real name and using the po box address would be ok with the post office to use and with using stamps.com would that link your account if i used it for all my ebay accounts

Re: having multiple ebay accounts

No, using Stamps.com wouldn't link you. I use it for all of mine. But you have to pay a monthly fee to use Stamps.com.

For a almost free method, getting address labels to put over the stealth address works well (you'd still have to buy the address labels which is why it isn't completely free).

I use stamps.com as well from time to time. I also like it for international shipping since I can still use my label printer. I have had no linkage, but I also do not upload from EB.

I too use stamps.com for my stealth accounts. I pay $15.99 monthly and it's so worth it plus it's a business expense on my taxes. I use my initials and last name on the shipping labels and my home address. I rarely get a return (knock on wood). I also use Auctiva and upload the tracking numbers to eB via Auctiva's website.

You get a P.O. Box and you use a Business Name. When you print labels off eBay or whatever you just black out the return address and tape over the correct one with the Business Name and P.O. Box. I have been doing this since 2008 with many accounts. I have never had anyone ask a question about it but if you do just say this company handles my shipping and returns. Pretty darn simple.

You do want to avoid as other have mentioned having stealth names on packages, etc.

Honestly with USPS you don't even have to have real business. They don't check the DBA or anything like that. If your Name is John Smith. Just tell them the business name is Smith Enterprises, Smith Clothing, Smith Shipping. Whatever you want that is believable. You shouldn't have a problem.
You definitely have the right idea just need to tweak it slightly.
