Do I need to be able to receive texts?

1) Do ebay send texts to verify your account or just calls?

I just set up a number with Toll free forwarding but I am unable to receive texts on this number, only calls.

Is this enough to verify an account?

2) Also, if I set up an ebay account in my sister's/mother's name and they ring to verify, how do I swing this? As I am male, I'm clearly not them...

if its a free service it will likely fail
success rates on those services is low due to the numbers being recycled from previous banned accounts and ebay recently acquiring databases of numbers from the free service companies

It's $9 a month, was recommended in the ebay stealth guide....anybody use it before?
