EXIF Help
 

I have been reading up on cleaning photos to prevent being linked that way. I typically use a Galaxy S5 for my photo's. I read here that there are apps for exif cleaning. However, NONE of them work. I have tried every single one in the App store with no success. Would setting up separate Dropbox accounts for each user be of any help? Also, I saved one that I emailed myself (gmail) and saved it to WIndows and I can't seem to find the same info once I save it. Meaning it's info is no longer Samsung, it's now the User name of the windows account. Are these photo's laundered once I save them from email?

It's best to clean your images on your computer and not depend on your phone apps.

A phone does not clean like a computer unless you reformat it.
It will retain little bits of date. Especially if you use cloud like services. :help:

I don't know how to do it on my computer. However, I stand corrected. Ez Exif Free on App Store does work. It's just difficult. You have to go to my files> device storage> pictures> exif Then share from there. I just saved a shortcut of the folder and voila. All clean.

What do you use to clean it with windows? I looked up apps but they all have terrible reviews

Exif cleaner for windows works great, you have the option to strip all metadata.

And rather than email them to yourself, you can just plug in the usb cable you use to charge the phone and just copy whatever photos you want directly to your desktop and than from there you can easily clean them with exif cleaner or whatever u choose
