Anyone notice the New Priority Postage Rates??

I just noticed 3 days ago, I ship mostly flat rate Priority mail , normally for a small flat rate box the retail price is $5.80 and the online price or for regular sellers it's $5.25 and with TRS its $5.20

So I really didn't notice that nickel difference, but I switched back to using flat rate padded envelopes and for normal sellers the discounted price is $5.70 when I went to print postage the other day it was only $5.30

Which is great, because I use almost all padded flat rate envelopes, I switched over to small flat rate boxes because of the.45 cent difference, which adds up when u purchase 2000 a month

For me it's just so much easier, more secure, and less tapping when I use the padded flat rate as opposed to small priority boxes, and it saves me so much time, so I decided to pay the extra money every month but on three newer accounts about 3 months old the price wasn't $5.70 but it's now the discount that was once given to TRS accounts $5.30

I know it doesn't seem like much, but they save me so much time, I save money on tape and $800 in postage with that discount

I've always been using flat rate padded envelop as well. It's easy to pack, less weight and cheaper. Depending what you are selling, try to use # 0, 4, or 5 so you can pack your items securely and safely. Other thing with padded envelop is that you do not need to travel to post office, you can simply drop them in local mail box...

It was,$5.70 its now 5.35

$5.70 is the regular discounted postage price if you were to purchase online or through eBay, but now the regular price is $5.35, this used to be the extra discount for TRS accounts

Do you know if you can do this with your own non padded envelopes? I sell a lot of used clothing and for instance a t-shirt or jeans fits perfect in a envelope that I plan on buying from ebay. Its not supplied by USPS though. If I can drop these in my local usps box...everything because a whole lot easier (I don't own a car). Haha.

Thanks!

All my items are fragile that's why I need padded envelope. If you sell t-shirt/pants or ther clothing, you can simply use priority envelop from post office free of charge, and you don't even have to buy it from online...

In my area, the USPS Supplies never get delivered, so I'm still working off the 10,000 USPS Priority #4 boxes I ordered when I was on the other side of the country for a bit

its about the end of the year so there prices are going to go up again to help pay all them retired employees full benefits gov wages. I use the flat rate boxes and noticed the stick tape doesn't always stick I always put tape on it as well never know when u send it off it doesn't come open and lose all ur stuff and the buyer opens a dispute on ebay.
