MC999 Indefinite selling restriction

Today I got an email saying my account has been closed and I can only buy with the account. I have more accounts even though this is my best account but what I dont understand is I havent been listing on this account and extra careful since I got a limit raise about a month ago on it and they shut it down when I havent posted anything for about 3 weeks.

that happens… you don't necessarily have to have an item up to get this mc999 notice. I have gotten an account restriction because of items I have sold a couple weeks prior. Especially this time of year.

Possible linkage through IP, photos, cookies, etc. would be my initial guess.

Happened to the best of us.
Could be any number of factors including items listed in the past, people items sold to, pictures used, links of various types to other accounts, etc etc.

Re: MC999 Indefinite selling restriction

Usually its something that has to trigger the MC999. In this case you most likely will never know. I had a account a while back that got the same MC999..before I really knew stealth I wouldn't take a no from Ebay on why they wouldn't tell me why my account was suspended. I probably was on the phone with 5 different people and it took an entire day to get someone to finally tell me I was linked ... although they wouldn't tell me HOW. Haha. Super frustrating.

Reflect on how you operate stealth and your customer service strategies.

Im 100% sure it wasnt linked because im extra careful about that, all my other accounts are still good im running 15 accounts right now. I just keep having problems with the category limits other then that everything is going good.

I wont waste my time and call thats it just gotta move on.

They do limit due to high risk. If you try to figure it out it make you go crazy! The only healthy you thing you can do is move on... It sucks I know because it happened to me. I really relied on the account they suspended and honestly I still have no idea how mine was linked because like you I had at the time 5 other accounts created at the same time that kept on running smoothly (still are).

This is why we need a lot of accounts. For whatever reason some accounts just don't make it. I never understood stealth like I do now until I got suspended for "high risk" when I did nothing wrong.

I have 20 accounts running now and almost every account has its perks and downfalls. Its really weird. Its a true testament to the fact Ebay is truly run by bots and computers...

The thing that pissed me off the most is the fact that once you get suspended indefinitely its like you a bad break up with Ebay and they won't listen nor talk to you! I literally sat on the phone with a rep for 1 hour until it got to point we sat for around 5 minutes with dead air...he wouldn't say anything. Even thinking about it makes me get a little mad.

Yea there is no point even wasting a minute on the phone with a rep asking why, they won't tell you because they don't know themselves, so they just look at there script and read you lines

The best thing to do is always make accounts and keep rotating, try not to favor anyone account

Now if I get an MC999 it doesn't phase me, I just delete the email from my iPad , remove it from my active accounts spreadsheet and just move on

You use a iPad for your stealth? How does that work for you? I was thinking about doing that just not sure if it is wise to operate using it or not.

Stick with a PC until your operating well for over a year and really grasp how to operate

Once you get a good grasp on everything than you,can expand and try other ways

Re: MC999 Indefinite selling restriction

I use it more to manage my Business more than log into my accounts with.

I have everything on my Laptop but I'll usually log in remotely with my iPad using LogMeIn

And all the Apps are great from everything from logging IPs, all the financial Apps to easily see bank accounts, and I'm able to have all my email address loaded into the mail center, so I know what is going on with every account in real time thru email

I use NUMBERS App which is like excel, and have spreadsheets for IPS and also one with all the data from each account

I utilize a lot of Apps and have all my computers in my house in one network so I can easily transfer files , view files, or download them if needed from my iPad to my PCs or vise versa

The iPad is a nice tool, you can find the right apps to simplify running multiple accounts, and you can also operate your home network from anywhere
