Thumbs up Click and Collect - GREAT news for sellers wanting to buy items.

Am yet to try but will be in the next few days.

For stealth users buying physical items on a stealth account and getting them delivered to you had been a royal pain in the arse.

Click and collect however appears to remedy that issue. All you have to do is get it delivered to a click and collect near yourself (near your actual address).

You will need the confirmation code that was sent to your mobile (so you will need a decent voip that forwards texts to your phone) to present at the argos collection point.

No talk of needing id etc which is brilliant news, and there is no way you will be linked by simply getting it delivered to a argos away from your address. There would be a million and one reasons why you would do such

Not something I will use myself, but I agree it's a great thing for stealth users :D

Looks like a good service Copley, however, what if the collection point you select is near you but far from the stealth address?

Possible eBay Red Flag?

It be ok for a one off now and again, but if you getting many parcels may bring up a flag.

Thought buyer accounts were fine in your own name, address even if been banned.

Yes, but the question here in this thread is about buying from a stealth account which this looks like a good option only if the stealth account is close to your home.

If you live in Florida for example and the stealth address is in North Carolina it could raise Red Flags from eBay.

You might be able to get away with it once or twice, but I wouldn't rely on it.

You don't want to risk getting tagged by eBay for that.

"No need for ID"

NOT TRUE.

Do not go ordering to argos in ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names without the appropriate ID.

If you need to cash out like that order to collect+ and take a print out utility bill from the internet to collect.

Copley,

You have not tried this yourself but you are telling us there is "no way you will be linked by simply getting it delivered to an argos away from your address"

How can you verify there is no way of getting linked when you haven't even tried it yourself???

Apologies, I just read the collection terms at it seems they have changed.

When they first introduced it photo id was required.

Interesting that they don't now.

Does this agreement even work for the US?

It looks like it's all about UK..

The UK is a small country is comparison to the US. Is it the same price to post to all 51 states or does it vary?

And do you have a chain of stores like Argos. Really a catalogue only shop where you don't see the items until you pay and comes from the backup.(you can view before purchase if you like)

How on earth can they red flag someone for getting an item delivered to an argos near your real address. There is quite literally a hundred and one reasons why you would do so.

Also, if they can not link you by the fact your ip is all the way over the other side of the uk, how are they going to link you for using an argos that may be within say 30 miles of your actual banned address? That would be futile.

Inside the US, shipping to each state is pretty standard.

If you have a stealth address that is not anywhere near you Argos collection point it could raise a Red Flag with eBay.

I wouldn't guarantee anything especially when working with stealth.

Just saying that caution should be exercised here, it's too easy to get complacent and then get tagged when you least expect it...
