Buyer opened a not as described case, because he couldn't initiate a return.

The buyer opened up the case, because he paid as a paypal guest or something, and says he couldn't open up a normal return? He says there is nothing wrong with the product or the description. He just wanted a different product, and is an idiot apparently.

I got him to admit IN the case, that my description was perfect. Can I get this defect removed?

Honestly...probably not. Give it a try though.

You can bring it to eBay attention, but tbh I generally find it is not worth the risk to the account.

It's a real account. I've called them plenty of times. So not too worried about that. But won't bother if they won't bother fixing it

It would make no differnence if it is a real account compeared to a stealth account. They both look the same to eBay.

Ringing eBay is always a risk

I'd give it a try since it's a legit account....

Depends on your account. Also really depends on how competent you are with speaking with eBay. I have absolutely no problem calling eBay if I know I have a justified reason to do so.

Keep in mind have all your information readily available upon calling stealth or not. I wouldn't say I call in all the time but I do when I have a case opened that simply is a scam. Ebay will help us out, they aren't completely evil, but you must know what your talking about and confident in your reasoning.

Its important when referring to case(s) to NEVER ask to close a case as they usually with take that as your saying the customer is right, refund them the money now. Super lame but it is what it is. I recommend to not have the approach where you can never call eBay, because once your accounts grow to actual businesses (if they aren't already), you will need to call eBay regardless.

People might differ in opinions but I can say for me personally I never had issues calling in. Again you must be confident in your communication skills. Lastly keep in mind what really dictates your bad dsr removal is simply the eBay rep you speak with. Get a bad rep? Call back...be patient, never ever should any signs of impatience, treat the respect even if they don't offer it back!

Re: Buyer opened a not as described case, because he couldn't initiate a return.

I have been a big buyer on Ebay for the last 7 years and have just started selling again after a lull of 12 years. A buyer just put in a return - not as described on a coin that is exactly as described. A dip. Anyway for years I haven't had any issues of course but one guy did a return over an LP for $6 this coin is $50! The problem is that I have a business box and my return has my name same exact address but not the biz name. The one return over the LP got sent back to sender because new people took over the UPS Store. I am wanting to edit my return address to include the business name. Will it cause any problems with Ebay? I don't want to stir any pots up things have been going great. I have been on the Bay since the start I go back that far and so many new rules etc not sure if this will cause any questions or concerns. Please someone advise me if it's OK to put my business name on the return address along with my Ebay registered account name. I know this sounds simple but there is so much paranoia these days (me included) I'm afraid to touch anything. Please feel free to email me privately if you have any notion on the implications of just adding my biz name to the return address. My buyer name has the company name. Just a little wiggy about touching anything or stirring any pots!

Thanks!

E-mail him the return address - don't go via the eB system.

Re: Buyer opened a not as described case, because he couldn't initiate a return.

If you just change the name on the return address than there shouldn't be an issue, it gets more risky when you start changing the registration information

On all my accounts I'll have a name and address for registration address and than for return address and ship from I always use my eBay USER ID and I have changed the return address before with no issues

Just don't change it to any information that was used in a previous account
