Ebay Ripping Me Off?

Hi Everyone,

I have a buyer that requested a refund on a purchased item, My ebay account is Stealth, i refunded the buyer than i got a message that said

"Hi,

You canceled an order from ebayuser----, and we already notified them. You already refunded the buyer for this order, so you're all set. Thanks for canceling this order for the buyer.

You'll get a final value fee credit in your account that you can apply toward listing more items to sell on eBay"

also when i click on the "More Actions" tab for the order there is no longer the "Resolve a Problem" link it now says "Cancel Order" and i don't even have to login to paypal to refund,

I don't remember ebay doing this but they now say you have to call in to request a refund of your ebay credit balance. Would this be a problem for me?

Is there a way to change this? I really do not want to call in or pay fees for every buyer that decides they want to cancel their order, what should i do?

Re: Ebay Ripping Me Off?

I think you may have misunderstood. It sounds to me like eBay has credited your account for the fees, resulting in a credit balance with them. It happens to me all the time. But that credit balance will be applied to any future fees. So it really does not matter unless you are not planning to use the account again.

I think what they are saying is that if you want them to cash out the credit balance and send a check, or put it back in PayPal then you need to call in. Unless the amount of money is large, I wouldn't bother with it.

I don't think you are being ripped off, just maybe inconvenienced a little.

I did this myself a couple of days ago.
The FVF amount is automatically credited within ebay. You can check it out in your ebay account under your 'seller account' tab when you check all your activity.
