Added a bank account to paypal account number does not macth
 

Hello,

I recently added a bank account to my Paypal which was done on Friday November 6, They are supposed to send me 2 micro deposits for me to confirm, havent seen those in my account, the weird thing is that the last 4 numbers on the account I see on paypal, they do not match my bank account, is that normal? Also does it take that long for paypal to send the money to the account?

It is not normal and those deposits should have shown up already.
Are you sure you posted the correct digits to the account?
try removing the account that's on there now and re-add your bank account and see if it works. If it doesnt you might need to call paypal.
Also - make sure that you fill in if its checking or saving correctly. I had an issue a couple of times because of that (most banks don't care but some are sensitive to that).

Im sure that I input the right bank account and made sure it was a checking account, I dont have any other bank accounts that I could use since they have already been used for older accounts.

also those 4 numbers are not familiar, I dont have any accounts that end in those numbers.

it wont let me, it wants me to verify the account through a message or automated call but its saying that the number i have on my paypal is not registered to the user account

Wellsfargo does not care if you use savings or checking or even mismatched names. Wellsfargo has been the best one I have found to deal with in the last few years.

Are you sure you didn't put the routing number in the area for the account number and vice versa or just enter the wrong digits by accident? If the account number is not correct they'll be sending the deposits to a nonworking account number. In the past when I needed to change a bank account I couldn't delete the one on file until I added a new one first. So try to add a new one before deleting the old one.

If you don't have another bank account you can always buy a VBA from of the seller on the forums here. That will serve to verify your account and then youll be able to remove your first bank account.
That's actually a much safer way of doing things anyway. I never attach my actual bank account to any paypal until I know for a fact that its working properly. No point in 'burning' a bank account before you KNOW it is working properly.

Did you make an excel sheet with all your info written down?

That's essential for working OK.

Sign into your paypal.

Go to your profile and check the last four digits of your bank account.

See what there is or is not. Should be able to work out what to do then

thats is exactly what I did, I do have all the information written down, but when i go check out the profile, the last 4 numbers of the bank account im trying to add does match my wells fargo account, last four numbers on my wells fargo account are 1026 and what I see on paypal is 5601, huge differece.

Would adding a VBA first and then actually adding my bank account work?

Could you consider speaking to paypal since the numbers do not match your info?

I would not really want to flag the account more with adding VBAs etc etc.

Okay, so as long as I have all the information written down, its Okay to call paypal with stealth information correct? What would they ask for?

I would not be afraid to call paypal as long as you have a working number that is on file with them...I've called them for 4 or 5 issues like you have on various stealth accounts and they really haven't asked me anything. I just keep them on the subject I'm calling about and act fairly dumb. Good Luck.

Also when calling paypal its' better to login to the account and hit the contact us and get the 6 digital one time pass. Seems like they never ask any extra questions when using the one time pass.

I was wondering if this is going to work since the OP said they got the 'could not proceed message'?

I prefer to not 'fiddle' more if that has happened.

Yeah, I got the one time pass, called them, got the automated machine, gave it my account number and Voila, just waiting to confirm my deposits :)
