Be careful here.

You do NOT pluck addresses from outer space or elsewhere. That address may belong to anotther party. Get real.

You get a PO Box or similar where the info is real.

Majority of accounts get MC999.

The idea is to make an account that can take the flack.

Totally agree. Yes, in the bwginning its gonna cost you but youll soon make that money back. Ive tried to save on an address and it has usually backfired or caused me problems.
Do some real searching, some good deals on rentable mailboxes, stprage facilities, mail forwarding etc...

True I 100% agree. But...

Just like how I hate wasting a bank account early on ..I hate wasting money on new phones, addresses (ups mailbox) etc etc. The money does add up if you create lots of stealths. Its just a temporary fix for eBay and Paypal until the 3 months is up :)

Yea. I mean if I was rich yes I would invest in every new account I created. I'm not though and I can't invest in accounts that can just end up getting limited for reasons out of my control. Yes this does happen ....unless.....

I literally walk on egg shells for 3 months. Each account can either be in eBays good side or bad side for whatever reason. Not to mention we all have to deal with Paypal...

If your in a position to invest in every account ...yes.. GreenBean is 100% correct. If I could follow stealth to the T at the start I would in a heartbeat. Its just not a realistic approach for everyone. Sucks but is the truth for newer people getting into stealth.

Not trying to go against stealth practice just being realistic.

@solefoodbk What you say make sense to me. To not waste the money if you don't know if the account is going to "make it". So, if the account does make it and you are using it, do you then put in a good address...a PO box or something? If so, at what point do you do this?

I am just learning the stealth techniques and am worried about wasting a good address, etc. on my first accounts as I may make mistakes or things not go right.

What do you guys mean by identify theft exactly? Using a real address? Or BOTH using a real address and person name that belongs to that address?

I think most people here get addresses from white pages and be done with it.

Also, what about changing the address a few months after the account is created to one you have access to, like PO Box, once you know the account is good and solid, to not waste an address at the beginning, doable?

Remember you can always change the address on file with them. Yes its stored in their system but you still can change it. The general rule is don't, I myself have never seen a limitation/suspension from changing my address. If you do it, you do it at your own peril.

GB what is the best way then, the stealth guide suggests a friend's address or a business but both are real right, that's the best what to go?

If you are going to make up an address, use zillow or trulia and find an apartment building. That way it is a real address and there are multiple people living in the complex.

You can also add a virtual address (google it, it's a service) and / or a virtual office address.

I created a stealth the other day and used a local UPS store with a variation of my own name. So obviously it would not pass a white page check. And I have a pretty unique name. I took my time however. First bought a few items before I registered as a seller after about 2-3 weeks. Got 100/5000 right off the bat.

In my experience as GreenBean said don't go get a random address and name from the white pages. Take your time and create a solid stealth. I don' know how ebay checks (who does) but perhaps the purchase history to a deliverable address count for some verification when you eventually register as a seller

for everyone thinking google maps is a bad idea PLEASE go on thinking that....

if you know what your doing and do research it does wonders.

Google Real Estate brokers in your city. Go to their websites and check if they have a unit for lease/rent that you feel would fit your needs if you were to rent an office or small warehouse. Get on Google Maps and take a look.

This unit is currently empty or it wouldn't be listed but it's a good idea to call up the agent if you want to confirm that although it is not really necessary.

Now you have an address that you know no one is at. That's your new address.

Then go to the post office and pick up a few Mail Forwarding packets. Fill one out using your new address and forward the mail to wherever you want.

They are good for one year - however - DO NOT REQUEST THAT YOUR MAIL BE FORWARDED FOR ONE YEAR!

If you do the post office will notify anyone who sends a letter to that name and address of your forwarded address. Instead, only request that your mail be forwarded for a few months.

Then sit right down and write yourself a letter, to your new address, and see if it comes through OK. Unless you missed something it will. That will also test that the post office will NOT notify (you) of your forwarding address.

After a few months just "move" to another free new address. You can keep this up indefinitely.

No they don't. Just think out side of the box. There are many way to get real address but you need to pick the right method and stay away from all the illegal one (~id theft, mail forwarding stuff)

I agree
I know its money to pay out and that can be daunting if account goes down.
But since joining this forum, i have correct addresses. Id rather have them now in the beginning and risk it...than to go with one you dont have access to and then go and get limited for changing.your address. A major change like an address could end up being a downfall :-)

There is every possibility that you could address change and be fine but i personally wouldnt want to do that. I would be so angry with myself if i got limited for doing it lol.

Perfectly legal to obtain virtual addresses, mail.forwarding. storage facilities with mailbox rental.
There are plenty to choose from. Most will ask for id straightaway, some will ask that thwy receive within a couple of weeks some id....and i have one that didnt ask.for id
Either way...you have obtained a perfectly legal address. You are paying for that service :-)

And again no one with a straight answer, looks like people don't want to give up their methods, and it's not like you're giving up YOUR addresses. What is the point in helping in all other areas if in a crucial area like address everyone is lost on what to do?

Everyone have to do their own homework. You just can't ask other people doing your homework for you. The method and direction are all in this forum and you just need to pick the one that fix your need.
