How to lift the 10/1000 limit

Hi
ok so i created an ebay account about 3-4 days ago, bought 3-4 items, and listed 7 items today(all $12 accessories), now i have 3 more to go before the limit, and when i tried to lift limit, it asks me to call ebay to call and discuss goals for removing limits. should i go ahead and call them? and tell them i hav been selling on amazon for a long time and know how these sites work? because in my case, the accessories wont sell until i have listed 100 or more..

Wait, with time limits increase.
Just open more accounts.

Always best to avoid calling in eb/pp for anything. Especially on a stealth account.

Re: How to lift the 10/1000 limit

the only stealth thing i am using is my name. i have used my correct address, correct ip, new laptop. i was banned from ebay about 5 years ago, since then my address, phone, ip, laptop everything has changed. i dont wanna make more stealth accounts, just stick to one, since i didnt really had to do alot of work making up things on this one lol..

what should i do in this case?

So you only want to work on 1 account, what are you going to do if this one account gets limited/banned? the reason we tell people to make more isn't because were trying to get you to do a lot of work.....it's so you have a backup. It's like driving a car without a spare, your really not seeing the big picture.

In the end, it's up to you what you do but seriously....take our advice, make more accounts and have them ready.

Re: How to lift the 10/1000 limit

start working again on new account if this one gets limited lol. ok so if i make lets say 3 more accounts, all will have 10 items selling limit, so 40 items in total. when would these limits raise? also, do u link all ebay to one paypal or make new papals too?
thanks

GreenBean 11-20-2014 06:55 PM

Re: How to lift the 10/1000 limit

Never link anything.

Keep each ebay and paypal apart.

LINK is a bad word. If you link you can lose all accounts.

ok,so basically right now all i have to do is open new accounts and wait and list 10items on each, but there is a big market on ebay for accessories and listing loads is the trick in my category, how can i take care of it

Then open 10, 20, or 50 more accounts

Spread your sales

Work hard and offer great service so the account(s) grow naturally.

Work hard

oops, I said that already.

If you do call ebay to get your limits increased youll run into a dead end as well.
In order to get your limits increased that way they'll try to verify your identity by asking you questions pulled from public databases. Since the name you used is made up they wont find anything which means that they'll either tell you they cant increase your limit - or outright suspend your account (low probability but does happen sometimes).

I've said it before and I'll say it again because it really really puts things into perspective regarding this question.

When you get deeper and more involved in stealth you will most likely have many restless nights without any backups. Many people have gotten their paypal limited with 3K plus, what a nightmare? If your trying to make a living off eBay using our stealth methods, its a must to have more than 1 account.

I tried 1 account and had it limited a while back, and almost lost it...

Now I have 25 accounts

None of them I expect to ever get a suspension/limitation but if they do I got backups...

The more you use eBay you will understand the nessccity to have more accounts.
I would say its mandortory but its not. Its up to you at the end of the day. :amen:

Make more accounts, maybe you are lucky enough to get that 5000/50000 limits

Speeder33 11-20-2014 10:23 PM

Re: How to lift the 10/1000 limit

There is another bonus for opening multiple accounts. Lets say that your main account gets banned, and you have to start over. That means starting from square 1, you'll have 0 feedback and 10/1000 limits.

If you have more then 1 account, then its likely that a few will get limit increases in the next couple of months. If your main account gets banned, you won't need to start at 10/1000 limits, you should already have a few accounts with 5, 10, 50x that limit.

Re: How to lift the 10/1000 limit

So many points and all of them good and true.
Bottom line - don't bother calling ebay. Instead concentrate your efforts on creating multiple accounts. Harder at first but the benefits are completely worth it.

There are several threads that discuss the topic of IP address and since youre in the US you have plenty of options.
Do your research - these forums have all the info you need to succeed.

Yep you can do it, might not be easy but will be well worth it! And always best to spread risk instead of having just one account.

Well you can increase your data plan ... I mean you would be doing the same with a dongle I believe. Its worth it to pay extra on your phone bill, just makes life easier, and one less device to worry about.

makes sense too. but as i am doing more research on this forum, seems like tethering gives u repeat ip addresses and have less range thn dongle. what do u think

Not true, they'll ask you for photo id and utility bill.

It can be either of the three possibilities.

If the rep is nice, then he/she will say that they won't be able to increase your limits or maybe even increase them slightly despite not finding you in public records. But usually they will say you'll need to submit documents.

While looking through your account, if they find something suspicious or a cause for concern (like maybe using a popular VPN to access the account, linking you to random suspended accounts), then the rep would permanently suspend your account at this stage.

Which is why it's not worth it. Many more bad things can happen compared to good.

OK....heres the deal with tethering.

1) Depends where you live, if you live a in a populated area you experience LESS repeats

2) Repeats aren't a problem because your tracking IP's every log in right??

3) Its easy to use for ALL accounts

4) Cost productive

I've used it for a year and have had nothing but success. Have I screwed up tracking IP's? ...yes and I'm sure you will to. Once you get the hang of it you will love it. Just my 2 cents

It is exactly the same. I mean, lets say you have Verizon on your phone and then you buy a flashed Verizon Mifi off ebay. It is the exact same IP pool...

So if you have say, ATT on your phone and then buy a Verizon mifi, you would have a new ISP and more IPs.

To be honest, I get so few repeat IP with 3g wireless devices, that say a year from now, I repeat an IP, it is not even a concern of mine. I would not even flnch.

We have a member on this forum running five separate accounts off of one IP for more than a year with no issues. Clearly they are not selling anything risky and maybe not very much, but it puts things into perspective. I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THIS, just making an example.

Re: How to lift the 10/1000 limit

Have you bought the stealth guide? Making accounts is time consuming and if you don't know how to protect them, it's a complete waste of time because if one goes down, they all go down!

Buy the stealth guide - it's worth the money because it will save you time and money in the long run.

As for the dongle, I use my iphone as a hotspot. I also have a virgin prepaid that works well in my area but it's unreliable in other parts of the country.
