Has Category limits changed??
 

I just listed some items on a new account. This account was made 3 weeks ago.

Usually a account under 90 days are restricted to 4 items per month. I was able to list 10 items. My selling limit 10 items per month.

Yes, I have noticed this for awhile, I knew about it, but just didn't bother sharing, but yes it's been for awhile. I am not complaining

That's good news. 4 items per month was such a hassle for new accounts. Now if I make 10 accounts and spread it across 10 accounts. That's 100 items per month.

Not complaining. Nice suprise.

I've been seeing more of my accounts get 5/500 limits lately. Still getting a larger share of 10/1000 though... but I hate it when I get a measly 5/500!!!

Haven't seen any of the glorious higher limit accounts I've been hearing about though!!

Has anyone else been seeing a larger number of 5/500 accounts or is it just me?

Is this for ebay?
As have never had 4 items per month and am wondering is this something new?:pry:

The limit is for certain category limits.
For example in video games category you were only allowed to list 4 items until 90 days had elapsed.

Today I have manage to list more than 4 items on a new account under 90 days

Ah I see, I was getting worried there incase it new update in every category.

Sorry in advanced if I'm posing in wrong thread! Is there such thing account "unlimited" ? You guys are possibly thinking how is it possible? I have few ebay accounts all are with limits. My younger brother has ebay account also, about 4 year old acc. So I created a selling acc.(everything diff. of course) Post a small office supply item and left it for few days. First day did not see any limit. Three days passed by, same thing. Long story short, called Ebay, Rep ans. told her about this situation. She then tells me "let me transfer you to limit dept." Is there such thing limit dept?...Rep from limit dept tell me that "this particular account has no limit"..huh...I ask what does this mean? Reps reply " THIS ACCOUNT IS UNLIMITED" I can sell either $ 1 or $ 100,000. At first I couldn't believe him, so i asked again" Are you sure" He replied " Yes, unlimited limit and you can sell any dollar amount you want". Just wanted to share this with you guys and know what do you guys really think? Is is true that an account can be UNLIMITED" Thank you.

It really depends on the account. I have had the same issue and when I first started out I thought ALL my accounts had similar limits. I used to just list to 5 items per month in clothing and low and behold most of the accounts could easily surpass that limit. Not sure WHY a account gets the limit, another doesn't but thats eBay in a nutshell for you.
